i just saw this amazing film, Metropolis (2001). its half anime half CGI. At the end they thank New Tek for support, but i never saw LW or VT in the program list or anything else New Tek. Anyone else know or seen it. Its Great work though!

I bought a copy on DVD about 4 months ago but haven't had time to watch it yet. I did see spirited away, that was great. Also I like the look of Wonderful Days. Hope they release this on DVD

If I remember right Lightwave was used exstensively throughout the film. It is a cool movie though.

We saw it in the theatres here in Los Angeles last year! It was awesome. Not only was LightWave used extensively. It was LW 5.6

it's an amazing piece of work. i admire japanese writers for sci-fi like that.. real sci-fi, not some gungho shoot em up "action sci-fi". it's refreshing to have a change of plot.

i still get goose bumps at the end when the song play "i cant stop loving you"

it's one of my favorite songs too. :)

Yeah metropolis rocks. But it is a reamake of a older film that was originally made around the 1920's i think. Thats why the future is so strange looking and happy, no mass destrucion around the corner/happened!

the moive is a remake??
i thout it was based off a comic but the guy whoo made the comic died and then they made it into a movie..

Its a Fritz Lang movie from 1927. I'm not certain that the anime is a remake per say but its certainly inspired by it.

well, i was looking for it in HMV and i saw an older version from the 1920's remastered, It was exactly the same story so i guessed that they remade it, though you might be right..the comics could be based on the film. The extra DVD suggests something like that too

Yeah, the movie is based on the comic which draws from the film. So all across the board this movie/comic/movie rocks.
