The old cliche "up by the bootstraps" becomes even more significant if you are a big hand robot with long arms.

I continue learning Lightwave. I am not 'good' yet but I believe the 'dangerous' level has been achieved! And, after all, this is the area in which I've made a very nice living for the last 30+ years as a creator. ... yes... I would rather be dangerous than good.:hey:

Interesting. I feel the robot's actions need more strength and straining to achieve the visual metaphor.

When you are going for the 'bootstrapping' metaphor, you may want your robot to look like he's really trying to tug upwards. Use yourself as reference. video tape yourself trying to pull up on your own boots. note your movements and body language.

Hey author, interesting concept. Can you elaborate on your thinking behind it. I agree with Adam on the reference part.
