Great stuff. I don't really like it being called Tesla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla) but other than that it looks very promising.

Would like to put in on desk, though!

CUDA (nvidia programming language) is not open

OpenCL is! and it could work on nvidia hardware

Yeah I was looking at these the other day. Really cool tech. Just an amazing amount of power in these things.

I've been following it a bit. If you have a CUDA enabled Nvidia card you can download the SDK and test out the technology. There have a really cool 2d liquid simulator that is included with it.

It's crazy how powerful these GPU's are now days. I think it's about time we get some application that can actually take advantage of them. Hopefully Core really can and isn't just speaking market speak when they say "GPU aware"

They said they will not support render on GPU, but maybe if get excited enough here they may reconsider it? This PDF that I posted earlier was pretty awesome.

Surely anything that displays an image via a graphics card is GPU aware? :stumped:
