Hi -
I'm curious if there is a way to apply a texture to multiple objects that have already have been surfaced.

Like, suppose one had for example, five brick objects each with their own surfaces. Then those five bricks, (each with their own surfaces), were duplicated many times to create a large brick wall - capitalizing
on the variety of the five unique brick surfaces.

Question Being:
Is there a way to put another texture on top of that assembly of the
surfaced bricks, (the entire lot of bricks making up the wall), to effort toning the entire group?

Another Example:
8-10 stone granite blocks are modeled and surfaced with image maps.
The blocks are duplicated and assembled to create the foundation for,
say, an old barn. Then it becomes desireable to add a procedrual
texture over the entire foundation to create the effect of the weather
and time. Rain water staining, moss, bird pile, etc.

Is there a way to do that? Overlay a single texture on a group of objects
that already have textures?

I think all you need to do is have a texture layer in each surface that all reference the same object, or are set to World Coordinates.

For example you'd have a 'moss' texture layer, scaled to the size of the whole wall, create a null, and set the layer to reference the null. Then copy this layer and paste it into the other surfaces. Problem here is that LW has been known to lose that reference when reloading the scene. You could set the layers to World coordinates instead, but then your texture will be left behind if you need to move the wall for any reason.
