What a shame. We were just talking about him a couple of days ago. I grew up listening to him.

What a gracious and good natured man he was. He will be missed.


... and now we know the rest of the story. :(

I haven't heard too many of his stories. But the ones I did hear, I enjoyed very much.

Just 10 years more from that 90 of his, thats how much I plan to live :)

He wasn't a comedian exactly. He had a couple of syndicated radio shows in the US where he would read the news and tell [presumably true] stories where he left the most interesting part for the end after which he'd say "and now you know the rest of the story."

He was broadcasting here since the 1940's.
