Bought my LightWave 9.6 on the 22nd registered it on the 24th but didn't receive any notification what so ever about the core.. nothing what-so-ever..CORE is not mentioned at all nor the membership..I called NEWTEK they told me to send an email to tech support, so I did but still nothing..
Wondering what to do next if anybody could help I'll be grateful.
I know that I should wait but I need a small sign telling me that im in.

Thanks in advance for anybody who can guide me through this..:help:

I would try emailing NT Sales or better yet giving them a call if possible. I'm sure it will work out. Good luck. :)

I got and registered mine (from NT-eu) on the 20th, and also don't have anything yet. Patience is probably the only thing that will solve this, which hasn't been a problem for me yet, but I have to admit it's beginning to wear off :)

(I did mail eu and ask, and was told I will receive a mail from NT with HC license/serial)

Hiya.

I'm in the same boat. Bought my LW 9.5 from a 'local' reseller (closest one to me is Unison Productions in Alberta, Canada). Registered it on the 25th. It said something to the effect of "you will receive an email from Newtek shortly". Admittedly it has only been two days, but I'm wondering if buying from a reseller "counts"...it sure would suck if I had to fork over *another* $400 to join HardCORE just because I didn't use the Newtek online store.

UPDATE!: No, haven't recieved anything, but I did see this at the bottom of the "HardCORE" image link on the NT register site:

"Note:

Must be a registered owner of LightWave v9 to qualify. Need to upgrade or buy a new copy of LightWave v9? Your LightWave v9 upgrade and new purchase automatically comes with a one year membership to HardCORE. Make your purchase on line here or from the NewTek reseller in your area."

Hiya.

IIRC, the note was right after I had registered my 32-bit and 64-bit windows licenses. Of course, I could be remembering a fantasy (currently have the flu...yuck!...but at least I can play with LW all day long and not feel guilty about it! :hey: ).

I'm going to give them until late Monday or early Tuesday. If I don't hear from them then, I'll give 'em a call.

I registered the 64-bit version, but not the 32...mmm..would this be the problem?..

I registered the 32-bit version and got nothing at all (aside from the 9 license key info). To keep in mind here is, that even when it's one common register.newtek.com, the actual registration is handled by region. The LW9 license was mailed from NT-eu, and they are apparently still catching up with all the Core stuff.


(When I mailed and asked as mentioned above, and got the answer that NT would mail me, they didn't specify any timeframe of this ominous mail. A week, a month?)

Well, just to chime in here I'm in a similar position as I bought and
registered 16/02/2009 after making sure that I was eligible for the
HardCORE membership by calling the local reseller to get this confirmed.
Sadly, the generosity of this deal (including LWCAD3) seems to get
overshadowed by the lack of response from NT in this matter.
Since then I've mailed the customer service twice without response,
and last tuesday I called them and at least got the answer that
membership numbers should be sent out in the next days or so,
which where I am at right now. That is -- nada recieved so far.
The clarity and service from the NT customer service leaves somewhat to be wished for.

Did u get the LWCAD with the purchase of full lightwave v9.6 from Newtek Europe?..
Is it for the same price?..I paid 1080$ for my copy without LWCAD

It was the LightWave VizCAD 2009 Bundle with electronic manuals for 795 €.

Hi, bought my lw96 feb 6 and still nothing either. I've emailed many times and no email responses. But I did see I have access to the forums at the bottom of the forum main page. and according to some there, they have the same situation. Who knows how we will get the beta in our hands.

That 795 price is without VAT though. Add 19.6% when buying from NT-Europe, and 25% when buying from swedish reseller (unless you have a bussiness).

(Also are you sure you didn't get LWCad? :) You only get a little piece of paper wih download instructions for LWCad, at least I did)

The forums for core members.

I was able to scroll down to end of the forum main page and there was hardcore member forum link. I never saw an email or anything indicating I was able to join in, except I complained on a thread one day and a service tech responded, he may have linked it up for me, no one at NT sales has ever responded with results.

Donny, why registering a software and recieving a key is almost automatic, while waiting to enter in a forum is impossible???

nobody tells you what info they need, where to send that info, when ... where.... what.... nothing. it is very strange and surely not a good thing not leaving even a minimal info. it seems more like a lottery. =(
