It shouldn't be this hard, but I am struggling to find a 64 bit version of the
XVid video codec for Windows, (and not as part of a codec pack that may mess things up!)

Any pointers please?

Good question Nick.

I'll have a butchers on my work system tomorrow, I know I've had a few issues with DivX under XP64 so may have sought a workaround. No promises, but I'll have a root for you.

Dang, scratch that..... Just found this; have a lookie and see if it helps.... http://www.koepi.info/xvid.html

Apparently 64bit OS support was added not long before old years, I think.
Let me know how you get on.

Could this (http://www.start64.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3096&Itemid=73) be of use? (nothing I've tried, I don't have a 64bit)

Yep, I'd found that pne, run the install, nothing appears in lightwave as a video encode option...

Aha! That did it, via the Russian linked site:
http://www.xvidvideo.ru/content/view/464/1/

That one told me it needed an MS library installed, which got it going. Thanks!
