Yeah - that Tom Mabe guy is great. A few years back, he released a CD of all those calls. I'll have to dig that out of my collection. Thanks for posting that.

funny :D

i do it all the time...but the telemarketers do not call too often anymore, but the last one who did was trying to sell Omega 3 oil or pills to me over the phone, and i diverted it into a looooong discussion starting on the methods on how to extract the oil to comparisons between Omega 3 health effects vs finnish sauna effects.

its just impressive how long those guys are trained to hang on chasing a sale..

When those sales guys call, I always act like I'm really interested, then tell them to hold on a second while I go turn the TV down. I then proceed to put the phone in a drawer and go about my business. You'd be surprised how long they'll stay on the line waiting for me to come back. :screwy:

Man, my jaw hurts, i haven't laughed that hard in quite a while...
I have never heard such an amazing way to deal with telemarketers.

Thanks for the link, made my day.

The auto warranty scam callers kept calling our house so I finally played their game by working them through the forms for my 2006 Chevy Camero.

They kept digging and digging their files for the info on the car, finally got a supervisor involved who finally told them to "just do it"...

Had them on the phone for a half hour...
I just had to do it. We've got cable and nothing was on that night so...
