That was cool. Didn't know that Jay had worked on Terminator 2 - Judgement Day.

Cool!

Nice..always wondered what the Newtek offices looked like. Was that a Core screen in the one shot there?

:)Decent exposure for NewTek, IMHO. Seems obvious that they edited Jay's reference to just what he was speaking of, when he mentioned "...all in one box".

Hmmm. Bet it was the Amiga Toaster, which was, back in the day, the *way* to get into LightWave 3D!

Jay Roth also built (http://www.michaelbiehn.co.uk/data/articles/aliens/aliens2011.html) the Narcissus for Aliens -- one of my favorite films of all time.

I noticed that as well! Couldn't a Fox affiliate have used some kind of corporate site structure? HAHA! Pretty pathetic.

Maybe its just me .. but I expected the Newtek offices to be a bit .. bigger? It isn't Microsoft, but it's actually a pretty good size facility. You don't see much of it in the video, a few feet on either side of the front door, and a fraction of the interior.

Here's a better shot: Exterior West elevation (http://news.satimagingcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/taj_mahal_in_march_2004.jpg)

Why are all those NT people just standing around - shouldn't they be working on CORE? :D

wow...what do you know!...aliens is my all time fav film....as if you asll didn't realise dueing the core countdown day when the threads went decidedly 'alien' themed for a a few days with references to lines from aliens re routed to work for core...if jay saw 'em he'd have laughted no doubt!

to have worked on aliens and T2...wow...he's a dude...core will be awesome in his capable hands!

I really wanted to say "Core breach drill", but it kinda sorta didn't work ... and besides, I didn't want to throw everyone here into a panic ("Where, where? !! Is there news?!!! Make room, geddouddamyway, hey watch it buddy! ... Oh carp, false alarm.")

That probably would have been worse than shouting "Fire" in a crowded theater :D

Jay you're officially my hero now! ;) I LOVE that movie! Nice job!

Actually, someone should model that in LightWave as a tribute! :)

Interesting reading guys.
Jay and all others geniuses at NT, I wishing you continue great "battle" with other 3D packages, be the best, unleash your imagination 100% and always improve yourself.
I think CORE will be something really special!
Keep up the good work! We are always here as a backup! You can count on us!
