View Full Version : Odd UV maps - any advice?

I'm working my way through the Kurv Studios Viper Texturing video and I'm trying to unwrap the nose cones of the engines to form a UV map. The UV map is sub-patched, like the cones and it should look like this:

When I follow the explanation using my version of 9.6 I get this:

The settings in the panel are what I'm using and as far as I can see they are the same as in the video. If anyone can suggest where I'm going wrong it would be very helpful. Thanks!

Do you have them as CC subd instead of subpatch subd? Were they using planar UV in the tutorial?

Problem solved. They were Catmull Clark so I switched them to subpatch and they're fine now. Thanks for your help :thumbsup:
