Hi, Is it possible to rig this plastic device for medical use with IK. I need four handles (see attached image).

Anyone wants to give it a trey. I am lost.

Morph targets, do you know how to use those?

Um... yeah, I'd like to see the answer to this one. Morphs wont allow much control. I can see having 3 goal nulls, one each half way up each chain, and the 3rd at the end of the two chains, but the mesh will pinch at that point. A single chain for the whole ring will still wind up with a pinched mesh at the end no matter how I imagine setting up control goals.

Have you tried to connect null objects to your bones?

Would the use of dynamics (cloth FX) be an option. Not sure how, but I have seen them used for some pipework etc.

thank you for all your suggestions.

There is no problem with the IK control handles for 1 and 2. The problem starts when trying to come opp with some kind of idea how to set op the IK for handles 3 and 4. I have thought of multiply bones/revers bones. Is that possible. I need full time Inverse Kinematics on all 4 control handles so I think FK is not am option... or

Well guys I think I did it.

But with some minor problem at the joints. Time to look at some weight maps

Looks interesting, any chance of a break down?
