Mine was a lens flare, done on the Amiga. No need to show it, but that was my first render, and I was .... "Ooooooh, it looks so pretty!"

I think my first scene of "my own" was the content Bladerunner scene with a few more spinners in it. Oh my.

A few years ago I saw a bad sci-fi paperback with those spacefighters on the cover. It looked straight out of the content scene.

I'm still working on my first scene... :)

Oh man, I remember mine real well, because it gave me fits and I thought something was wrong with LW and kept reinstalling it. Kinda silly now, but...
Seems as though I didn't know about Auto Key and had it turned off. I had my camera set up perfectly, but didn't realize I was on some other frame. When I hit F9 to render, it rendered frame 0, naturally, which was not the frame my camera was set up at, so I kept getting...well, not what I wanted.

Of course, that was my first day with LW 7.0 and didn't know jack about it. ;)

The Picture-That-Was-Not-To-Be was just some columns in kind of like a museum room, and the scene is long gone somewhere. I never did get it rendered, but I at least got a lesson in Auto Key I never forgot. :D

Dont worry Hopper...you'll get there some day...lol

1st model i built was in inspire 3d back in 1997-1998...was a I-suk, a boni blue vaccum cleaner that i rendered out in bryce as i was SO new to inspire 3d [inspire 3d was the lite version of lightwave 5.6 btw]

btw i fired up my old pentim 120 yeaterday to find it but i think the HD has had it!...drat!...wouldn't boot win 95...ho hum!

One of my first every bits of Lightwave work was a cruddy X-Wing I made and I did an animation recreating the scene in the movie where a group of them fly in formation by a planet which is very large in the background.

A misshap while installing Linux many years ago nuked any evidance of it though ("Format All Drives?", when I thought it said "Format selected Drive?") :(

It looks like a cross between a Lamborghini Countach and a LM002 or maybe even a Hummer.

My first model was a small jet fighter made in Bryce using primitives. It was very reflective. I'll see if I can find a picture of it somewhere.

Nothing wrong with gold rims :)

Here's the car that I built (http://aeon.tribbeck.com/a1/DSCF2892.JPG) (the actual picture is a bit big).

And one of my first attempts at car modeling (of the above car):

I used the model to decide which colour I wanted it - although purple came a bit out of the blue. As it were :)

I'm in the process of redesigning the car using Lightwave. Again, large picture (http://aeon.tribbeck.com/newconcept/hr0041.jpg) (note that the low-poly people aren't meant to be terribly realistic :) ). It's being exported as a .stl file, and I'm the process of building a machine to make the buck for the mold (foam blocks for the buck).

I can't find my first LW model or rendering. It's probably languishing somewhere (although after I'd changed my directory structure, it may have been pruned).

ETA: However, this is nearly the first model, based on one I'd done in POVRay:

notice how the images get better ... lol i like the car looks like crash test dummies are driving it
