Hi all, have a problem. I need to break an object that leaves the broken object healed inside for dynamic simulations. Here is an example of this in 3ds Max. Is there a way to do this in Lightwave?
Thanks so much

You mean something like this?

There's also c4:

and of course crackit:

Yep, that looks like it. I have heard of crack it before but not break it. I'm on a mac so Lightwave plugins tend to scare me as most don't work. Do you know if there is a way to use geometry to break the object up leaving the inside healed without using plugins? I hope Core will have some kind of built in "breakit/crackit" so I can get more use out of the dynamics engine.

Great plugins. If I can, I want to try to use a piece of geometry I created so that I may have much more control over the destruction. Something similar to a Boolean but like the youtube video.

Yea, something like this that works on the mac. This looks great. Where can I get this ? Flay does not seem to list it anymore.

I also wonder how it works on a real object (like a plane or space ship section) not a cube.

Surely some more people out here have done some amazing work using dynamics. Is there a way to cut into geometry splitting it into multiple pieces and leaving the inside healed for realistic dynamics?
