cannot see it. that sucks. Bought into hardcore two days ago. registered today as I thought I had to wait for a personal email like some of the forum threads implied. have finally gotten the email that my account has been activated, but no forums.
I even tried to log out and back in, nothing.

edit: just tried to delete cookies but it didn't help.
any hints guys as to what has to happen so I can access the Hardcore Forum (and please no jokes about having to be 18+)

02-07-2009, 01:31 AM
First you have to be older than 18!
Second, you just have to wait until they get around to adding your name to the forum listing. Apparantly they have a lot to work through and it will be done in the order at which people registered. As it's the weekend I'm guessing it could well be Monday.

02-07-2009, 03:36 AM
That is totally not fair, i want my CORE forums now!!!

02-07-2009, 03:54 AM

I hate that !

02-07-2009, 04:13 AM
Can anybody confirm if there are activations taking place over the weekend or should I just give up and come back Monday?

02-07-2009, 04:16 AM
Sales are closed on Satuarday but technical support line will be open in 3 hours 15 minutes, I will call them.

02-07-2009, 04:32 AM

Lightwave CORE forum is just 2 new threads above Lightwave Open Beta program in the newtek foruums!!!

yeah , It does not seem like they are adding people over the weekend, so Monday it will have to be!

02-07-2009, 12:42 PM
sniff sniff.

02-07-2009, 01:31 PM
argh i registered but still not seeing it =/ and i noticed i input my forum id in lowercase without the capital K =/ think that could be making the difference?

02-07-2009, 02:57 PM
Yes, I registered mid day yesterday and have not heard back. So I'm guessing Monday. Ah well... I don't think there's much going on over in those forums anyway except more wild speculation. I've had enough of that lately.

Oh jeez, I didn't even know we could "purchase core" now. I only check into the forums. I should check into the LW main page some times. I wonder if Lightwave announcements could be plugged into the forum better without being annoying. That way I would know about these things. ;)

Joining late the Core party...
I have my membership number and -of course- my Forum ID...
Do i need/wait for anything else to "see" the Core forums?

03-31-2009, 12:26 PM
It took about 24 hrs for the HC forums to show up after purchase for me, its apparently a manual process.. you have to logout and login generally to see the forum appear. Might help to quit and relaunch your browser all together..

OK, stupid question time!

where do I get my membership number from?

and i'm guessing that my forum ID is the bold name above my avatar?

and yes I have purchased CORE.

Okay, forums work for me...
Didn't have to logout-login manually...
I just re-entered NewTek's forums (cookies enabled) and they were right there!

The number on your bill
I don't have one

I have a four digit order number and a license key number,
(along with a link to download a screen saver).

but no membership number?

Thanks for clearing that up, perhaps it would have been easier if it was called membership number on our email bill!

04-01-2009, 03:11 AM
Hmm, going to have to check when I get home tonight, I got an invoice via snail mail, may be on there.
There seems to have been a lot of unnecessary confusion over terminology with this whole process.

And adding members to the Forum database could be automated too. There is no need to have to do it manually. They just need to create a script that takes the HC member reg info and turns on the HC forum for HC member that are already forum members. It just needs to alter one or two forum tables.

I joined last night and received all the "welcome" emails and I still do not see the forums. :(

(oh I also registered as well)

04-01-2009, 08:34 AM
I joined last night and received all the "welcome" emails and I still do not see the forums. :( ...

Not to worry. It took a good 24 hours before I had access to the forums.

It took me 2-3 hours to "see" the Core forums...
But then again, I may have bought the subscription the correct time for NT to check and roll me in...
Who knows...
