What a Cloth Simulation!!!!! WOW!!!

www.qualoth.com

Amazing modeling process. Fantastic feedback. Cloth Over cloth simulation. Perfect and realistic result. Cloth Over Cloth. High Speed!

available for maya only :(.

Hope LW core open a door for that kind of plugins or that lightwave cloth simulation gets a big upgrade.

It does look impressive. The way it accounts for cloth on cloth is impressive.

Come on dude..I thought this was going to be about lw core cloth sym:devil:

Messiah:Studio talking about their sculpt tools that can be used with their fast bones and setup mode. Thats new.

That is some nice cloth...

nice cloth..the tech has moved forward slowly though since the days of clothreyes back in 3dsmax2.5 days...like 10 -11years ago when clothreyes came out and even then you could tear it...so 10 years to get here si pretty slow going really...though most apps have a cloth simulator nowdays and some like this maya plugin and the cloth in 3dsmax you actually make clothing out of spline based panels and then stitch them together.

Isn't it rumoured that CORE has a new cloth sym...why not debut that.

It looks very very imrpessive, but then again, for a plugin that cost $5000 US for a floating license i wouldn't expect anything different.

Are you guys INSANE? Its $2k for a personal ID Locked version, and only $600/year to keep it running.

So, more for a cloth sim than CORE costs new?! Don't think so...

It looks nice and natural, but at what cost? I'll take a simple cloth solver and a bit of tweaking over $2K.

Alright, I've seen that link now thrown a couple times. What's that about?

NT has trained me () to look at webpages' source. I assembled this from their own web page:

http://www.parology.com/index.php?username=USER&passwd=PASSWORD&task=login&option=com_user&return=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5wYXJvbG9neS5jb20v&de04542a4b2570ed17b2313ddf331e42=1

Do they want us to tinker with username & password?

NT definately has some competition, that will never go away :P

I dont think the point of this thread was about the affordability. Just the excellence of the solver.

Hey man, it's the physics engine that jay3D is working on.

LOL...

But seriously..it looks good (what I saw in the extremely choppy videos)..
But it's only for Maya, and only on windows..so they lost my vote..hehe.

What is that? any new dynamics system available for LW?

This kind of simulations show how the technology advanced. It seems to be better than syflex and so good as Maya n-cloth, or maybe, a litlle better.

If newtek does not have an efficient simulation like this on the CORE era, then they must make the plugins developers interested in porting the solutions for lightwave. I think they already oppened completellly LW for that kind of solutions, but maybe they should also contact the companies to suggest development.

Probably the CORE will open a door for advanced technologies like that. Let's wait and see how much improvement dynamics system will have on lightwaveX.

The Jay3D system looks promissing and will interact with everything on LW Core once the SDK is totally open now. Hope Newtek helps him to advance it!

Sorry. Actually it's impossible to have that kind of simulation on lightwave :)

In what way "impossible"?

It doesn't look like a huge advance over syflex, which has been around for 5-6 years, only marginally better in certain areas, and of course syflex is available for LW.
