Hey,

This could become a thread all about 'countries'. It would be nice if we could take all the posts out of the CORE thread and place them here somehow for a better follow up.

About Belgium, it is a federal kingdom, a mixture of everything to mess it all up even more and we have double as many people working for the government than the Netherlands. Belgium has 10 million people, the Netherlands has 15 million people. Talking about wasting money :)

Greetings,
Sigurd

As much as I enjoy seeing my country lined up together with the rest of other independent countries... I really enjoy that you know! That and any time we speak about it I love it really :) . Thousands of years of forced shadowy isolation does that to one :)

Anyway, as much as I enjoy that. Theyve typed it wrong! Argghhh! Its right there on the left, below my name for Pete's sake (Yeah I mean you :) ) that its not Kosovo but its Kosova!

I dont get it why are we still beeing called that way! You, the callers arent Slavs, and we the ones that live here arent Slavs aswell! Slavs are only the minority here, and yet the most popular name calling of my non Slavic country ends with an 'O' adding the flavoir as if it some kinda Slavic origin for some reason

Now, Im gonna call that guy that promised that will take care of the country issue by PM, see where that goes...

Well, didnt want to mute the party with that!

Heres my POV about Belgium devision! I think, its greed at play again! Oh yeah, big time. Anyway you look at it! Someone is trying to get even more richer, thus is overemphasizing the 1 coutry spending money for the other issue so much!

I dont think it will stop beurocracy, corruption, and more so, it will only stop the money from going to the other part of the lands, but will redirect it to an even higher intensity to them greedy peoples pockets!

Again, man, dont do it!

Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norway and have a look at the long list under "languages" on the left. Do they all write "Norge", as we do here? No of course not. In fact, "half" of our own country writes "Noreg", which is probably more correct. (Yay! to Faroe Islands (Føroyar) for getting it right, and keeping the language. :) )
So, how do you write it in your language? ;)

I think you should really look into the history of Belgium before deciding this. Like said before, Belgium is a country that was 'forced' to exists in 1830. Before that, our region was together with the Netherlands for 15 years. France took a lot of our 'country' Flanders around that period. We have almost nothing in common with the other part and they not with us. Actually, we have a lot more in common with the Netherlands.

See it like this. When you're unemployed but you get so much money from the state that working would be foolish because you would earn € 100 more per month. This is what really happens in Belgium. Our social security system is too good for the people who don't WANT to work. In most other countries there is a safety net for about 6 months, after that, it's working or finished. Here, we have 2 to 3 safety nets so you can go on 'not working' for the rest of your life. It is not about becoming richer, it's more about some justice. Do you find it logic maybe that people not working have more rights, more freedom and more political power than the working ones? This is what really happens here.

LOL

Nah, I wont fall for that tricky test. Not me. Its Norge (N-EA-R-G-EA - Thats as close as I can get it with English letters) , see Ive been visited by two Norgian (:hey:) teenagers this summer. I personally found some time to site them around. Its like all the energy stored for site seeing guests, that was stored for you guys arrival on independence day, found an outlet alas. So we had some fun, and I understood that appart from 2-3 letters, I can read Norgean (:hey:2) too!

So, if it were up to me Id call you Norge as you want yourselves to be called! Thats who you are, who am I to call you otherwise, if its not for jokes the least, in which case Id call you Norvs :neener:

As I said before, there oughta be a way out of this man! I know its not fair, in fact its rediculus really! Why someones demise at beeing forced to gain money, be profited from other non working people! Outrageous in fact!

But Im saying, use this 'Either you raize your butt off that chair and start working, OR well devide and youll HAVE to work otherwise then!!!' as means to get to equality! Im sure feeling that heat people would compromise!

But for an actual devision! I dont think its enough!

See take my experience for example. Now, we were beeing persecuted, you know. Beeing forced to leave homes, and slaughtered afterwards. The previous Serbian Nationalist Government, didnt want ANYTHING to do with us, except our lands. The old elimination wars as seen on middle age wars. So one had no choice but to seek help, and drive them away from our lands! It was a case of either die running away or die fighting! Unless you become a refugee, and thats such a low feeling, you reprioritize your entire LIFES orders!

Not to mention the ruthlessness and indiscrimintation towards the ones non capable at beeing part of wars like children, woman and elderly.

Now discrimination such as that that your saying, though significant and outrageous, kinda gets overshadowed by that intensity!

Nobody is killing anyone indiscriminatevly over there! Its just a matter of spreading the money more equally! Thus I fail to understand your readiness at deviding your country based only on that when there seems like there are things that you could do to just make more just financial distribution!

Ahh come on, dont leave so fast!

England is Anglia here in Kosova and Albania too.

It seems the reason behind this all is multifactorial one.

Theres the name in native language

Theres the name in foreign language

Then its the most popular language overall. In this case English language. And the use of that name from both parties' languages.

What Im getting at with that last one, is that now that Im speaking in English language, id like to be precise at it and call it as best accurate.

If I were to speak in Albanian id say Anglia for England.

Pretty complicated. But I think the way forward is just to stop calling it how it was, and start calling how people themselves want it be called. Simple.

Perhaps you forget something. Both World Wars have been fought on our lands (yes, I live exactly on those places). Before those wars, the French have tried to occupy us 72 times in history. Spain, Austria, Germany, England, Vikings, Romans, The Netherlands, ... They have all been here trying to conquer us. They all failed in the end :) We are sick of fighting and war, we've had enough of it. I'm sure, in any other country, this would become a civil war. Funny enough all the tanks and other army weapons are placed in the 'other' side of the country. So, if a war would start, we wouldn't have a chance. Mind this, we are with 6 million people (Flanders) and the other part is with 4 million. And they rule over Belgium... I tell you, Belgium is a big f*cking joke!

Sorry if my language is hard, but this is years of frustration. My girlfriend is from Brazil, I've seen the misery there. We have to consider ourselves so lucky and we do. But if you realise that every month hunderds of euros are going to the ones that don't want to work, you get frustrated to say the least.

You think that the issue of civil war is at stake?! Its devided between you Flanders and, whats the other one?

Arent the other party Belgs aswell! How did they rize to power and you guys didnt!

Cool thing to dodge all the superpowers for millenyas isnt it? Romans, Byzantine, Turks, WW1, WW2 etc. Makes you wonder how did you still survive with your own identity doesnt it?

2000 years of wars here, ever since the fall of Ilirya. Dodging superpowers, and small barbarian powers during the end here.

When you look at it. Quite an achievement isnt it?

I think our codes helped in that in our case! How did you did it in yours?

Yeah thats me too :) . Until you said it otherwise. And your a Belg, youre around there and you matter. The info issued from you should be considered like a given. Im not there, you are.

So, by me then, the logical conclusion is to consider and accept the information coming from the citizen of that independent country. Common sense really. With all the mixture of infos around the internet, we have skipped one simple gesture of just asking how it is over there.

You ask me how it is in Kosova, I live here. Why bother asking some other country, much less a source. Yuuuhooo, Im here ask me :) Ill tell you. How its called and how it will be called and whatever you may ever wanna know, cause I live here, and the non Kosovars dont live here, thus they dont know! Common sense and simple really :)

Slivovice huh? What is used in its make?

Like that Slovenian alchoholic drink! Cant think of its name, but its made of pear, and they put it on botles while theyre small, and they become big while in it.

Thus you end up having a big bottle of alchoholic drink with a big pear in it.

It had a great taste, and the really good ones still smell like a pear too!

Just yesterday, with my friends we made few litres of slivovice. Very funy action ! We was all totally drunken :D

Making of Sljivovica (as it's called in Serbia) is always a funny action. I had a chance of being once there when it's made and people got drunk only from trying is it good or not.

Funnily enough, a lot of people around the world are aware of this drink and it's origins. I've met people in Australia who are quite fond of it. It's also known as RAKIJA.

I guess one have to be quite uninformed living in Europe and not knowing about it!

However here are some more information on it:
Rakia or rakija is hard liquor similar to brandy and vodka, made by distillation of fermented fruits, popular throughout the Balkans. Its alcohol content is normally 40%, but home-produced rakia can be stronger, typically 50 to 60%. Prepečenica is double-distilled rakia, with alcohol content sometimes exceeding 60%. Skorosmrtnica (literally "fast death") is a popular name for cheap low-quality rakia. Rakia is considered to be the national drink among some of the South Slavic peoples: in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia and Serbia. Its most common form, slivovitz, is produced from plums. Other commonly-used fruits are grapes (the most common in Bulgaria, Montenegro and Macedonia), peaches, apricots, apples, figs, and quinces. Plum and grape rakia is sometimes mixed after distillation with other ingredients, such as herbs, honey, sour cherries and walnuts.

This is one brewed in Croatia:

1) @ DiedonD: Well i see you have enough time to write here (ONLY YOU)... i suggest you to work something creative in LightWave for difference.
Well I'm mostly in General Tip's and Trick's, you know ...
Everybody in the hole world knows who are the Serbs, Serbian Kingdom (right now Republic), and what is are tradition. By the way England Queen is the godmother of our prince Alexander (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandar_Karadjordjevic).

2) I can talk with you about 3D, NewTek, Ligtwave, modeling, surfacing, rendering ... and that's all. You are not the point of these thread ... it say COUNTRIES. I was putting my representative links. Also:

Vlade Divac (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlade_Divac)
Milorad Cavic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milorad_Cavic)
Milos Pavlovic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milo%C5%A1_Pavlovi%C4%87_(racecar_driver))

Much more...

3) If you have something to put, to contribute to the community ... fine, BUT don't convince us like we are small and stupid, and how we don't now how "great new world order" works

4) ... and if i was in your place (certainly not) i would not be so much proud about new USA/world protectorate called Kosovo in old mother Europe ...

5) main BLACK HOLE of Europe these days (black market, biggest narcotic source, sex trafficking, anarchy).

6) Give some GOOD REPRESENTATIVE LINKS!

7) And i know ... liars always talk to much and justify them self's. Me ... i just put links, like:

Serbs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbs)

8) And again ...I can talk with you about 3D, NewTek, LigtWave, modeling, surfacing, rendering ... design, movies, sport ...
About green eye tiger ... the tiger is watching.

Right then. Here we go:

1) So the whole world knows who Serbia is huh! So?

2) So if you dont want to talk to me about nothing else rather than 3D, why are you provocking my country by tagging it with a Black Hole nametag, and all the rest of that dark side? What you think that only Serbia is crime free country:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbian_mafia

3) Theres nobody here that hints that your stupid but you! Why dont you tell us just how does your 'New World Order' goes then?

4) Nah, we are way passed the protectorate level. Its all newborn independent country now. Or havent you noticed?

http://www.newborn-kosova.com/

5) See what I mean. Everyone knows what Serbia, and its Kingdom is so swell about, while Kosova is nothing but a Black Hole, with all that crimes in it too.

6) Ok

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_Theresa
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Belushi
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ismail_Kadare

And much more.

But I am clueless as to where all this is going. Are you aware that we are siding serbian intelects with the albanian ones? To what avail? To proove that yours is 100% good and mine is 100% bad? Is there really such a thing?

7) Would you like some more links then? Here Ive summed it up all once in a thread for you, post 103:

http://newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91800&highlight=nationalism&page=7

But again, what are we doing here?

8) Again, if you wanted to talk about 3D only, whats with the provockation? As for the tiger, as of 17 February 2008, it all can do is just watch!

Why did you started this whole thing M? Why the insecurity? Its as if my sole existence is a threat to you!

Yeah Ill be talking about my experience when it comes to it. Who wouldnt?

Now Im gonna need to go. Ill be back on Monday. But act as if Im here, cause you know, the 'tiger may be watching' afterall. I doubt Ill be able to comment though. Till Monday guys. Bye.

I think that my english is too bad to explain this process. But globally is it very simple.
Give plums to barrel to let him fermented. Afer that, put ferment to boiler and heat up. Steam is then condensed in cooler to liquid. First pass has around 25-35% of alcohol and need to be destilled again. More pass give high level of alcohol but lower quantity of final product. Typical ratio is around 10:1

Don't know if that unfortunate place is a black hole of Europe or not, but I can surely say it's not a place to be nowadays.

At least according to some facts I just found that place leads in many negative things some of them being highest unemployment rate, greatest risk of HIV epidemic and highest poverty rate.

Do you want to speak about beer with somebody living in the land of beer? Who has tried the best beer of the world, recognized by official federations? We have it, in Flanders and it is made by monks, even today. It is a Tripple West-Vleteren. Quite pricy, hard to get (always limited editions). IT is food and drink at the same time and you have respect when you drink it :)

But I am clueless as to where all this is going. Are you aware that we are siding serbian intelects with the albanian ones? To what avail? To proove that yours is 100% good and mine is 100% bad? Is there really such a thing?

First of all, we are not in same league.

What is the fuss ... I'm from Belgrade, Serbia, i love my country, Kosovo and Metohija is also my country, I was at Kosovo and Metohija plenty times. my roots are there, I love also Pristina, but my older, civil, european Pristina and not the place that become right now.
I said where I'm from, who am I, what is my religion, tradition, what i have to offer and say welcome to Serbia everybody. What is the fuss?

Your links ... great tradition, do you have something more older then that?

You don't know what is "new world order", then i will said that you are even stupid then i was thinking. If you believe only what Tv and politicians say (also Autodesk :)) these days and if you think that hole world think that way, you can think you are right and have ultimate truth. I will just say that you need more to learn.

In every way we are superior, don't you forget it! About tigers ... don't tell twice. Just watch what will happend and we will wait 2012. I think you know what that means, maybe not, or you will acting like dumb *** again. You know how are arrested your friends "terrorist fighters and war criminals so called free fighters for Kosovo" in a south of Serbia ... like dogs. Do you know what they look right now in Belgrade prison ... like small girls. Don't even mention our special forces please ... we have also greater European soldier honor tradition.

I have something for "smart guy" like you with "50years" old News/Tv/Hollywood/new world order tradition:

Medieval Serbian Monuments (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medieval_Monuments_in_Kosovo)

About BLACK HOLE of the Europe...
Kosovo Narco State (http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Yugoslavia/Kosovo_Narco_State.html)

About which mafia (biggest and baddest mafia in Europe) they talk in the movie. I suppose with no reason.
Taken (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/)

Geo-politics of the Albanian separatism (http://www.balkanpeace.org/index.php?index=/content/balkans/kosovo_metohija/articles/kam03.incl)

A forget human organ trafficking ... bad man, very bad.

You talk about "Sljivovica", well what the hell do you know? Do you also drink a beer as well? Your muslims religion say that's forbidden ... don't you know? Oooo, your "tradition is very small", memories also and not to mentioned your so-called "independence". lol

I wasn't active then like you at NewTek forum , with your very cheap and one use only product/propaganda.

At the end you should know, and no argue about that, I have more links, people, event, more contribution of Serbian people to our human civilization then you can ever post even with help of internet, Hollywood, your friends in USA administration and army, for them you are just the tool/fool for coming closer in front to Russia and Russian natural energy sources... so don't talk nothing here (in this forum) please, except about NewTek product. We all know the truth.

And if i was in moderator's place i will give ONE BIG WARN/EVEN BANN TO SOME USERS ABOUT *UCKING POLITICS and similar stuff here please (even some virtual independence like DiedonD talk's about). His talk is offensive, he propagate some politics programs, talk, even in General Discussion at NEWTEK OFFICIAL SITE. People from wide world respect NewTek's work (I'm one of them), buy software and support them in every step in every place in every argue... and i don't want to come here to argue with some "kid" from so called Kosovo, he's manipulating with other members of NT community. There is no Kosovo ... there is Kosovo i Metohija - part of Serbia Republic (Serbia Kingdom), and that is fact and final.
Even if i want to argue/compare with you (i don't) i can't, there is nothing to compare.

So well sea at Monday ... I suppose wireless net is bad in your "beautiful new, so called free country", and my traditional from centuries before Kosovo i Metohija. By the way if we Serbs, plug out OUR electricity system which you are also steal and using it right now you will be in stone age's.

And one VERY IMPORTANT question for you. Did you in near time burn and destroy again another of our oldest monastery and again erase many Serbs signs which are there fore centuries before?

Whe all know that are living in a time of manipulation, cg, matte paint, compositing... etc. ;)
Let here be the place for open minded people who cherish NewTek's products, NewTek staff, great community for support, BUT PLEASE *UCK THE POLITICS.
I love this forum, i love community, but people like DiedonD ... he have link sign to the thread where he celebrate FREELY ON NEWTEK OFFICIAL site "virtual independency", that is very BAD.
BAD FOR NewTek also.

I also love "Rakija Sljivovica" and beer!

I think that's Verboden Vrucht (forbiddden fruit).

Belgium indeed wins the beer prize, hands down. Without Duvel, I am nothing, without some of the more obscure ones: I would be half the man.
That said, I still prefer dutch Pilsner over Jupiler, like Brandt, Grolsch and Hertog Jan. I really don't drink Heineken very often, but there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not particularly nice. I pay homage to the Tsjechs for allowing us to steal their Pilsner :)

Why not we all make a honest lighthearted list of their own country?

"What do I like about the Netherlands?"

Relatively speaking one of the more free countries in the world. You can smoke pot but not chain your bicycle to a tree. Makes sense!
Art museums, lots, good, fun
Graphic Design, better than Dutch architecture
Fun people, some of them at least ;)
Public transportation. It works! Seriously.
Close enough to Belgium to get great beers. Far enough to avoid the accent (just kidding :))
In fact, everything is close enough to crawl to
Less religion in politics than most other countries, still to much to my taste
Clean, reasonably well organized. Mostly.
The language is fun to play with and very rich. Pieremegoggel!
Good girls. Really.
Super safe. I can be a 12 year old girl in a swimsuit any point of day at any hour.
Amsterdam, the Hague, Utrecht, Haarlem, Delft, Den Bosch, Groningen & Maastricht
Decent social system. Health insurance recently messed up, but hoping to see it fixed soon.
Dutch people travel a lot, makes them see other parts of the world, other countries. Downside: I meet Dutch people wherever I go on the world. They're embarassing. Like me probably.
Spinvis, Theo Maassen, Mondriaan, Rietveld, Dudok, West 8, Hans van Mierlo, Rembrandt, van Gogh, Vermeer, Zedz & Delta
Drop
It never gets super-cold or super-hot.

"What do I not like about the Netherlands?"

It never gets super-cold or super-hot & it rains a lot
People complain too much. About people complaining as well.
Soccer violence. Seriously. WTF?
Those annoying kids on loud scooters. Road-Maffia.
A lot of bureaucracy (although Australia, Spain and the USA where I lived are not better, I still hate it)
Expensive. 120 euros for shoes. What the?
Rita Verdonk, Geert Wilders, SGP, Murderers of Theo van Gogh and Pim Fortuin, Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo, OV-Chipkaart, "Arnie"
Dutch traditional food is embarassing
Joint Strike Fighter. What's the use? Ridiculous.

Sljivovica tends to be great, but I have weak stomach that can't stand too much of it. The other one you mention named Stomaklija is one that is intended to help with stomach issues (Stomaklija= stomak=stomach) and it would but I don't like it either. Good one for stomach would be Jagger Meister in german, also known by the names of Pelinkovac or Vlahovac or serbian specialty Gorki List (bitter leaf in translation). Skopsko beer is one of the finest in that area, had a pleasure of drinking it at Kalemegdan fortress in Belgrade, you are right about that. Don't know if you have beers-of-the-world shop around, but if you do go on and search for Skopsko, Jagodinsko (Serbia), Lav (Serbia), Nektar (Republic of Srpska), Karlovacko (Croatia), Ozujsko (Croatia), Lasko (Slovenia). You can't miss with those!

Hey Exception, nice list, but ours is bigger, better, nicer, ... and we are with 33% less people :D

What we have:
- Beuatiful cities: Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels, Ypres, Tongeren, Turnhout, ...
- European Community started with Belgium and Luxembourg, soon followed by the Netherlands.
- Trade: diamonds, cotton, ...
- The spread of Dutch goes back to our regions by Hendrik Conscience (sorry Netherlands)
- We do have a very rich language and a lot of dialects. This is difficult for foreign people, but we are proud of them (and we don't need a funny accent like the Netherlands have)
- Beer: best of the world
- Chocolate: best of the world
- French fries: they're OURS, I have no idea why it is called French in English (what a mistake!)
- The social system is good :)
- Very safe like the Netherlands
- Paintings: Rubens, van Dyck, Pieter Bruegel, brothers van Eyck, Ensor, Margritte, Meunier, Permeke, ...
- Inventions: modern-day road asphalt (de Smedt), cartographer (Mercator), saxophone (Sax), internal-combustion engine (Lenoir), electric railway (Van Depoele), dynamo (Gramme), anatomist (Vesalius), Big Bang theory (Lemaître), mathematician (Simon Stevin), plastic or bakelite (Baekeland)
- Religion: Pater Damiaan, Daens
- Art: Victor Horta, van de Velde
- Medicine: Janssens Pharamceutica

What we also have, unfortunately:
- The government (all 7 of them) :(
- The kingdom: costs a lot of money, everybody of the family gets money from us every year, even without doing something
- The social system is actually too good :(
- The taxes are just too high. Belgium is one of the most expensive countries in the world considering every tax that exists.

Yes, "Stomaklija" is made in Serbia, but seem to me you have some bad "copy" of same brand. If you have chance to drink something really good, i will say beautiful you and everybody else got to taste "Viljamova Rakija". Viljamova is the name for one sort of pear who grows in Serbia and it's delicious, I mean pear, also "rakija"[pear brandy] and it's very strong. Pure nature essence in one beautiful drink. Nothing fake, no chemical substances/process, Every RAKIJA - fruit brandy made in Serbia is 100% natural.
Russian Vodka is ridiculous, i think also about Whisky. I have one 55 year old "Viljamova rakija", guys you don't know how fascinating is taste of this beautiful nature drink. It so god for circulation, for preventing cholesterol, great mood, great health. I like a little drink two or three times a month before eating ... great. Also in Serbia we make brandy from almost every fruit (100% natural).
Two famous and really good beer (we have more then two of course) in Serbia are "Lav pivo"[Lion Beer] and "Jelen Pivo"[Deer Beer].
And another thing we have, pretty unique in the world is a "Leskovacki Rostilj" [Leskovac Griil-Barbecue]. Leskovac is small town in south of Serbia, but guys/girls delightful grill. Forget about Mac burgers or something similar ... natural, tasty meat, and many other meaty speciality.

Welcome! :)

Macedonia is also great, specially "Ohridsko jezero" [Ohrid Lake], beautiful lake.
Our brother land Montenegro ... also nice, great sea, beaches, Madonna and Rolling Stones have last year beautiful concert's, also great mountains (for paragliding, off road rally), 100& nature and pure mountain lakes, forest, great mountain rivers for rafting ...

Italy is nice also, a love Venice, simply beautiful. I mentioned Spain and Barcelona, but I also like Figueres and Salvador Dali house/museum, i think i could spend one or more years just to look at his art pieces ... simply fascinating.

This list is far from complete (Ambiorix to mention 1). The problem is a lot people were living in the region of Flanders, Belgium didn't even exist back then :)

If you would take all the inventors/musicians/artists/... together of Western-Europe (incl. Russia), it would show how much progress we've made since Christ was born :)

I actually passed through Mostar when I was going to Dubrovnik. Pretty place with nice climate. Do you know the old bridge entered 75 most famous buildings in the world?

Of course I do (lived there for about 25 years), don't be silly :D

Here is a little gem, many do not know this...

Under one of the hills of Mostar there is entire military complex with underground airport (JNA built it in 60's), remnant of the cold war era, dunno if it's still in use by anyone :)

Here is the beer I appreciated the most while I was there

I recently went to a pub that is only represented only by a wooden door. Than you go downstairs and into maze of halls with barrels all over. Pretty much like German pubs. Yes, any Australian favorites?

Seems to be a nice place to go. The German pubs are very good.
Here, in my city (Belo Horizonte), I frequent one that is called "Stadt Jever". It has a very pleasant atmosphere, everything of wood... very nice.

I didn't have the pleasure to taste any Australian beer. Australia is a beautiful country. I never visited... but what impresses me more are the two simultaneous climates... sunny beach with a snow-covered mountain on the same place. It's very nice. I have a Brazilian friend that lives in Sydney. She said that the people are very receptive. That is rare in some countries.

"Jelen Pivo" <---- The AD is very funny. LOL :D

The Brazilian ADs of Beer goes in the same funny and creative way. I think that girls, sun, beach and beer matches perfectly. Don't you? :hey:

Ok, I'll share one more gem with you. Named Banjalucki cevap. Some of the guys here know what I'm talking about, it's a meal consisting of minced meat, onion and specially prepared bread. It's widely known in the area of ex-yugoslavia, with one from Banjaluka being recognized as number 1.

It comes in two varieties and you can combine them. First is know as Cevap
http://www.leksikon-yu-mitologije.net/files/Cevapi_1_640.jpg

and the other one is known as Sis cevap
http://hem.passagen.se/bosanski.recepti/bilder/sis_cevap.jpg

You can order it in 3 sizes :) small, medium and large, best served with yogurt or beer. After having a decent large, I can only recommend having a nap :D

I apologize for double posting, i omit your comments. Yes, aussies are quite warm and welcoming, beaches are great. I love the climate! From beers I rarely have famous Fosters, more often Toohey, Carlton and my favourite Cascade! I'd also recommend australian wines which are absolutely blast, especially ones from north New South Wales and ones from Victoria. If you find it somewhere, definitely try some.

First of all, we are not in same league.

What is the fuss ...

Your links ... great tradition, do you have something more older then that?

In every way we are superior, don't you forget it!

About tigers ... don't tell twice. Just watch what will happend and we will wait 2012.

...so called free fighters for Kosovo" in a south of Serbia ... like dogs. Do you know what they look right now in Belgrade prison ... like small girls. Don't even mention our special forces please ... we have also greater European soldier honor tradition.

Oooo, your "tradition is very small", memories also and not to mentioned your so-called "independence".

At the end you should know, and no argue about that, I have more links, people, event, more contribution of Serbian people to our human civilization then you can ever post even with help of internet, Hollywood, your friends in USA administration and army...

And if i was in moderator's place

Let here be the place for open minded people

BAD. BAD FOR NewTek also.[/B][/B]

Behold... The superioristic race, the higher rank of people, the ultra nationalism!

I mean look at this:

First of all, we are not in same league.

In every way we are superior, don't you forget it!

Its as if they **** gold all of a suden!

And theres nothing but melted iron steel running inside instead of the simple blood like the rest of us here!

Just look at the ego!

Oooo, your "tradition is very small", memories also and not to mentioned your so-called "independence".

Yes, of course. My bad really! You were here for 2000 years, and we came from Russia

http://lamar.colostate.edu/~grjan/kosovohistory.html

About tigers ... don't tell twice. Just watch what will happend and we will wait 2012.

What will happen on 2012? Will you come and kill some of your so called dogs? Whatabout their puppies? They belong to the lower class of people people known as dogs dont they M? Why wont you eliminate them all? Wouldnt it be better if nothing but the superior race would realm from here to Tokyo?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srbija_do_Tokija

So then you are the superior race, the tigers (Arkan tigers) and we are just dogs arent we?

This is the kind of people that Im use to see sadly till now. And Ive tried everything really. Reasoning, politness, reaching up, calling with calm names like brother, bro all an all to reach for an understanding!

But how does one reach another with alleged unequality and discrimination?

First of all, we are not in same league.

In every way we are superior, don't you forget it!

I mean worlds best negotiators tried negotiating with Slobodan Miloschevich the dictator and president of then Serbia, and the one responsible for wide mass massacres ranging from bosnya to the now Republic of Kosova! And they failed! How am I suppose to deal with that attitude?

And he comes from the VERY capital of Serbia!!! Belgrade! Youd think that at least there it shouldve been more calm and resting place, away from nationalistic propaganda!

Thats not the case sadly. And as nationalists, as proven in NATO bombardment, they only respond well to threats.

You may have your special forces, but I got friends you see!

And you M, you speak of me of culture! Why, wheres your common decency? Out here, when someone calls you a brother, we dont reply with a
like dogs. Do you know what they look right now in Belgrade prison ... like small girls

Now Im gonna say this, though I have absolutely no doubt that it will not change any of your nationalistic thoughts and POVs whatsoever, and I dont know to what avail else appart from as my final attempts at trying to break through your nationalistic wall that youve surrounded yourself against all in Europe.

Just what have you wan by your nationalism thus far? Should there more be blood? Why cant you just unstick those medi evil urges and join a more civilized century? Cause here, we are already all equal, and no internet links are neccessary to prove that!

Today beeing independent, and away from harm from those special forces of yours, I can say that I am all for getting along and living at peace together! Your up north, my neighbour, and in my culture neighbours are a very close entity, and well be getting alone just fine.

And what is asked from you in reverse, is to quit nationalism, even though realistacally it has brought you as well as your neighbours nothing but trouble! Lets hunt those murdering bastards down to the last bits! We dont have much resources, but there arent as much here compared to how many attrocities the murderers baring your countries name have commited, so I think we can make it parallelly regardless. And no more barbaric savagery!

Peace...

I will just say that you need more to learn.

And those 250.000 Serbs (250 thousand) which houses are burned and land are taken, when they will return at here homes and land in your so called free Kosovo?

Goraždevac: Pantelija Dakić (11) i Ivan Jovović (16)
And what about those two little Serbian kid who swimm in a river Bistrica at beautiful and peaceful day in your so called free Kosovo? Someone jump and shoot them in the river! Who is responsible for that? After how many years we don't now? 5 years you say?
Much more ...

KLA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosovo_Liberation_Army)

And what about other Serbs right now ... why they are not free like you ... why you (I mean your Albanian administration/ex terrorists) try to make AGAIN Serbian exodus EVERY DAY?

You should ask your Albanian friends in Belgrade, how they live. They are totally free UNLESS they do something wrong with the LAW! Like your friends who are arrested like DOGS in south of Serbia (everybody of them is war criminals with numerous horrifying murders). They are animals ... i can't call them either way excuse me, maybe monsters.

You talk about Slobodan Milosevic, he is from Pozarevac (town in Serbia), and you talk about him ... he is just another tool/fool like you and he is also co-worked with your friends USA administration(Clinton), army etc... NEW WORLD ORDER.
USA administration and army, for them you are just the tool/fool for coming closer in front to Russia and Russian natural energy sources... so don't talk nothing here (in this forum) please.

And what do you think about Bush (i know Bush-Texas ... but anyway i love NewTek and LightWave), and his global politics? Your honest opinion? I will ask you again, DO YOU KNOW WHAT NEW WORLD ORDER MEANS?

I don't want to chat with you (you are the first here, NT forum) about *UCKING POLITIC, this is not my intention. You have specific thread with your bull*hit politic here at NewTek forum. I said where I'm from, who am I, what is my religion, tradition, what i have to offer and say welcome to Serbia everybody. What is the fuss!?

I have my opinion, and you can change it! I understand that you have yours ... and that is OK by me, JUST DON'T BE PAIN IN THE *SS about it, BECAUSE WE ALL NOW THE TRUTH AND WE ALL NOW WITH WHICH BLOODED/NARCO MONEY YOU HAVE YOUR SO COLLED NEW COUNTRY ON MY CENTURIES BEFORE HOMELAND!
I understand that all of you down there are little/maybe more contaminated with the rest of uranium from your USA brothers "Charity Angel" bombs ... so we will just wait, for another 50 - 100 years you well vanish, no need for some other method against you except political. By the way we have better things to do then *ucking around with your protectorate.

2012? You should get informed, ask your friends about that.

if you go to Sweden and eat a Kebab there, you will find it very different...

i believe that the Norwegian Kebab is very pakistani influenced, lots of corn and the spices/sauce are also very pakistani style.

in a Swedish Kebab you would expect to find tomatoes, iceberg salat and meat..in a Norwegian Kebab youll have corn and iceberg salat.
plus the sauce is different too...

however, much as i like the Swedish Kebab..its nothing compared to a German Kebab..

hows that for translational skills....

Well, when it comes to Suomi/Finland Swedes might have been calling it many evil things during the years, but still, we are like brothers in arms these two nations!

Thereīs many interesting aspects of how many Swedeīs look at the "fins"! Vodka, heavy parties, knifeīs and fights! You name it!

I am from Sweden and during the last 30 years I have seen how a increased stream of refugees, klans and tribes from all around the globe have been offered a new and "peaceful" ground for themselfes and their relatives in Sweden!

No country is perfect and even if Sweden have been quite an open minded and supporting nation when it comes to open up financial resourses, free health care, social wellfare and free education for refugees and newcomers we could of course have been even better!

If you compare Sweden we are still a very strange phenomenon on the global arena! (U.S. did actually send a delegation to Sweden last year because the Americanīs couldnīt believe that a small Swedish suburb called "Sodertalje" received more refugees from Iraq then the rest of Europe and definitely a hell lot more than U.S.)

Sweden have for a long time been a pretty good place for people to raise their kids and develope! One reason might be that Sweden actually havenīt been in war for about 300 years. (The reasons to this can of course be discussed but the fact is that Sweden have a long tradition of being a stable , peaceful, civilized and wealthy country, at least in modern history!)

However thereīs always rotten apples on a tree, and I am sad to say that by tradition many countries from Southern Europe, Middle East, Russia and Africa use the word "PEACE" in a completely way different than the naive Swedeīs!

Among many groups of the payback for being treated as humans are spelled hate, racism and patronizing directed against any human with a different etnicity, religion or political view, and last but not less a lot of bad treatment of the native population and their kids! The criminal percentual interference from foreign groups are at a high risk when it comes to organized crimes and hate related events! (This does not mean that most of the refugees are criminals but the recoil hits the majority of newcomers hard since lame gouvernment laws against the rotten apples for a long time during the years have developed a prejudice against refugees as a group!)

Itīs not unusual that many of the second generation teenagers praise the word "respect"! But when it comes from their mouths it means that everyone must accept their will or get beaten up or even worse! To me itīs a very strange way to say thank you to the country and its members for saving their families butts!

I can understand your frustration about cruelty in war and occasions that is hard for people to understand that hasnīt been involved direct in situations that are incredibly evil.

But I would like you "m0184you;819143" to give me your opinion of why the frustration inside some people is dominated by hate and infect almost any society, platform or forum for communication they visit!

P.S.
You do not need to tell me about NWO, free masons and 2012 though this question is more on a level of friendly communication between humans like you and me, no reptiles are invited! :D

Kebab.. Variation of what many eat late at night, often on their way home from binge drinking. Brought north by the turk I think..

yeah, this one originates from Turkey. Cuisine got most of the influence during the turkish domination in balkans. The best kebab i tried so far is Marocan with combination on veal, lamb and poultry.

Yeah, they rise like mushrooms in our streets, but I like to eat it aswell.

I still prefer BELGIAN fries though :hey:

Belgian fries! I call them only fries which would be politically corrects (I guess) :D

oh well cheers from croatia

A-ha. Another fan of sljivovitza. You drunken ... :D

re countries: i wonder how many if ANY people don't in any country AT ALL...that's to say spend their lives at sea so could be considered free of all this 'i made a mark in the sand and this is where 'my country starts' and yours 'ends'...

i just don't 'get' most of this...we [humans] more or less live on the 'dry bits' of planet earth...and that's that....everything else is manufactured by greed, wars and old stories that have no meaning thesedays as they should know better..

Makes Australia nice example how many different cultures peacefully coexist. Take an island, place it far away, populate it with people from different parts of world. They face two choices, to extinct each other or to join and survive.

I'm from big continent of USA in small country called Florida. We border on small countries of Georgia where they make peaches and rednecks, and Alabama, where they make rednecks and not much else. Big Pond on all other sides, with insignificant island of Cuba nearby, for now. :D

Haha. But the continent is North America and the US is one with Canada on top and Mexico from behind :neener: (no offense meant)

Well so thatīs how the truth revealed in broad day light feels like!

"Swedes are homosexuals, girly-men, sensitived and emotional."

I who woke up this morning feeling like a great male, no tears on my pillow and dead strong! Damn! It must have been a dream then! Thanks for dragging me out of the closet, NOT!

But at my best I could at least reach the level as a male posh spice! :help:

... in Finland it is common knowledge that Swedes are homosexuals, girly-men, sensitived and emotional. plus, in Sweden you joke about studid Norwegians, in Finland and Norway the joke is about stupid Swedes.

the general opinion though..is that swedes are inteligent, altough a bit snobbish.

First of all, we are not in same league. This is true, and the truth HURTS!

So why are you superior race compared to mine again? Why cant us both humans of earth, from neighbouring independent countries be on the same league again? Do you **** gold or something? Have you grown wings by now? Or what?

What is the fuss ... I'm from Belgrade, Serbia, i love my country, Kosovo and Metohija is also my country, I was at Kosovo and Metohija plenty times. my roots are there, I love also Pristina, but my older, civil, european Pristina and not the place that become right now.
I said where I'm from, who am I, what is my religion, tradition, what i have to offer and say welcome to Serbia everybody. What is the fuss?

Just hateful POV towards your neighbouring countrymen! Your nationalistic claims of superiority towards this neighbour of yours and your overall quest at finding all the negative stuff about Republic of Kosova, where you go ahead and put even movies in it!

And I dont want to play that game. Whats the use of using movies to demonize another country? Would that hold? Is it strong enough? For everyone that wants to see how Republic of Kosova is, they can come and see for themselves. No link beats your own eyes!

Not that I dont have any for Serbia, but whats the point:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunted_(2003_film)

The very beggining of that movie shows the barbarism and ruthlessness of your special forces elimination tactics.

As for drugs in Republic of Kosova, as I said, its a lame attempt at staining another country, though such a thing obviosly is impossible to an open criticizing mind!

But just to equal the equation:

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2009&mm=01&dd=13&nav_id=56385

Thats your own source! B92 is a good source! Thats why it was targeted by the then dictatorship! It tends to be more neutral and away from all that nationalism. You beeing in Belgrade can watch it! Why dont you do that some more?

You don't know what is "new world order", then i will said that you are even stupid then i was thinking. If you believe only what Tv and politicians say (also Autodesk:)) these days and if you think that hole world think that way, you can think you are right and have ultimate truth. I will just say that you need more to learn.

I know of a certain new world order rumors, bur dont know how severe and serious would you see it, thus wana hear it from your side!

And, stop name calling will you! Before someone sees that!

You talk about "Sljivovica", well what the hell do you know? Do you also drink a beer as well? Your muslims religion say that's forbidden ... don't you know?

Talk about not knowing who your neighbours are. Hey M, or whatever your name is! Cause you dont have the decency to tell your name even, and prefer the darkness dont you! Theres tons of prejudice M! Tons! If you really have roots here as you say, and like visiting us here, then you shuold know that muslim religion isnt well rooted here! We passed on from catholicism to beeing muslim just so as to skip the extra taxes from then Turkish empire. We were more ready to do that, cause catholicism aswell wasnt our religion and came from the Byzantine and Roman Empire. And so on and so forth.

Were natives. We were already here when you came! We are way older than you! And have way older roots and cultural heritage! And entire code, language, culture etc

So well sea at Monday ... I suppose wireless net is bad in your "beautiful new, so called free country", and my traditional from centuries before Kosovo i Metohija. By the way if we Serbs, plug out OUR electricity system which you are also steal and using it right now you will be in stone age's.

Again, your focusing on negative delusional prejudice. The net is fine here. Also we have our own electric power supply, that to the contrary, sell to our neighbours including you guys sometimes.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/inatl/longterm/balkans/stories/warcrimes042299.htm

And those 250.000 Serbs (250 thousand) which houses are burned and land are taken, when they will return at here homes and land in your so called free Kosovo?

Link please?

And what about other Serbs right now ... why they are not free like you ... why you (I mean your Albanian administration/ex terrorists) try to make AGAIN Serbian exodus EVERY DAY?

I hope this upcoming comment of mine has some impact on all the nationalistic delusions that obviosly you have been fed by now!

I see serbs everywhere! They go shoping, they speak out laud in the streets, they carry on their bussiness, nobody even recognizes them for serbs as nationalists here cause theyre not. The ones influenced by Serbia up north are of course an entirely different matter:

http://www.friendsofbosnia.org/kosovo/05.htm

You should ask your Albanian friends in Belgrade, how they live. They are totally free UNLESS they do something wrong with the LAW! Like your friends who are arrested like DOGS in south of Serbia (everybody of them is war criminals with numerous horrifying murders). They are animals ... i can't call them either way excuse me, maybe monsters.

Well, they were former UCPMB soldiers! That fought against nationalistic discrimination of albanians rights still living south of Serbia, in Presheve, Bujanovc and Medvegje! Their rights still are beeing discriminated as of today!

http://74.6.239.67/search/cache?ei=UTF-8&p=albanians+in+serbia&fr=yfp-t-501&u=www.greekhelsinki.gr/bhr/english/countries/serbia/albs_in_ser_en.doc&w=albanians+albanian+serbia&d=cjCf7w-YSKv4&icp=1&.intl=us

So, you call people who are thed up from your discrimination, as dogs? And as monsters? My mysterious, nameless M, your special massacring units are the monsters! The ones that slaughtered! Not people whom stood up for their rights man!

Nah, weve got plenty of energy resources thank you! Weve got Or or Coll. But you can have Russias gass if you so want it so much! Hows the winter passing by though! Ive heard theyve just decided to let you off without gass!

And what do you think about Bush (i know Bush-Texas ... but anyway i love NewTek and LightWave), and his global politics? Your honest opinion? I will ask you again, DO YOU KNOW WHAT NEW WORLD ORDER MEANS?

My opinion about the USA, regardless of which president they may choose, are of high value!! Nothing changes over here! So nothing to change our POVs for them! As I said, it is their decision, their overall image that they want to make on the world! If theyve choosen Bush twice its their bussiness not mine. But yeah, as far as Im concerned hes a great old fellow LOL

He came to Albania at that time. And when asked about Kosovas independence, we still werent independent back then, as compared to now, he said something like 'Well be sending diplomats and they have some time to deal with it. But you can do as much with diplomats and if it all fails then well recognize that Kosova IS Independent and so be it' later on, and this is the funny part, when asked until when was the ultimatum he went like 'Nah I didnt said ultimatum! What did I say Ultimatum! Well alright an ultimatum then' LMAO. And the issue was so hot at the time. And for him to handle it so easily, cowboy style, was something to remember him by! Wonder what will Obama do?

I don't want to chat with you

Well... dont! I dont mind as long as we can understand each other, and not go blind by anykind of fanatism. Be it nationalistic or religious.

I have my opinion, and you can change it!

Really? Cause when I saw that your opinions arent so fanatically linked to you, when you said it like that, is when I started rechating with you again. If they can be changed as you say with a strong argument, then I thought perhaps we can negotiate further, and reach for an understanding. Otherwise, as certain people around you. I dont talk to nationalists!

Well, im an LW Kosovar Albanian! Whenever an issue reminds me of your attrocities, given my experience by going through the war, I, as anyone else, would like to tell it. I also love speaking about my new contry. Love it greatly. See during your Milloschevich you couldnt do that as some of the links may suggest. And now, Im at a very warm forum, with very talented people, that they care, and am so relieved when I do so.

But Im like that for all issues that are hot for me. I just go out there and speak the naked truth out laud!

Well... Just as I thought that there is a glimpse away from your old eliministic ways you shotout your wish of us vanishing! It seems that youve already planned this through havent you? By that plan, all you have to do is just stay away from trouble for the next 100 years and we will be vanished by contamination huh!

Why would one human beeing wish for another 2.5 milion of other human beeings be vanished?! Just how do you get there? Why? What is the fault of the Albanians children of that time of the next 100 years so as you would want them vanished? What did the future Albanian kid did to you now that you want that now? Is it just because theyre Albanians?

All hopes are lost again... You should be ashamed of yourself to thrive in such dark thoughts! I thought you were against murders? Why would you like the demise of future generations man? I dont get it?

I don't have anything about anybody, just facts! Just truth!

Yeah. And its a sad, miserable truth indeed... Your dark thoughts extend to the future generations! Who knows what else you may be plotting!

THAT'S MY FINAL!

Hope so! For the sake of the future of innocent children I sure do hope so!

OK, now can be peace at MY FAVORED FORUM, unless you start to go again with your story how you now are free, you have your "beautiful country", you are the civil, european muslims WHO DRINK ALCOHOL and everybody else call bro, matte, peace ...
Yeah, right.

Well... Yeah, and I dont see anything wrong with that

From now on i will fallow the thread. Sorry guys.

Well be clear man. Is it final, or will there be more. Theres inconsistencies there...

There you have it people. A nationalist that wants other people vanished. We still have em today, and some, like this mysterious M guy, lives in the very capital of Serbia even! Weve got some work to do indeed. Thats the only trouble with Kosova. Its north neighbour. But its not much of a big deal, as long as they stay away from here for good. Again, thanks from putting away these kinda people that want and plan the vanishing of other populations.

Ive got plans for Monday, not sure weather I would have time for this. But whenever I can, I will.

Later peeps. Thanks for reading. I wonder weather you truly did. Quite a long one this one wasnt it?

If you 2 can't solve your issues, how do you expect your leaders to solve it then? I'm trying to follow your conversation as good as I can. But I don't live there. All I can tell is that this love-hate situation is common all over Europe: Spain, Ireland, Belgium, France (yes, even there and more than you think), ... The best example of this is Jeruzalem (Israel-Palestina). That problem will never be solved, unfortunately.

Well so thatīs how the truth revealed in broad day light feels like!

"Swedes are homosexuals, girly-men, sensitived and emotional."

heheh...no offence mate ;)

but, it is all in the eye of the beholder.

Swedes are more open to speak about their problems, Finns consider such allowed only for women and the men tend to keep their problems private.

this is the reason for why finns see swedes as girly-men, and the fact that finns do not speak about their problems is what in the end results in violence, murder or suicide.

its a cultural difference...while the finnish view on male behaviour is a great strenght for some situations, it is their greatest weakness in other situations.

personally, i avoid finnish people in any competetive situations, specially work.
im competetive too, and with finnish people the competetive "male" spirit can go too far...i once worked 30 hours non stop, hard manual labour, went to sleep for 7 hours and back to work another 17 hours, all becouse of a silly, unofficial, unspoken competition on who is the toughest worker...

so, now i am happy to work with Swedes and Norwegians..effective and easy going, none of the hard style macho stuff of the finns...

so, as i said..Finns view Swedes as weak teary-eyed creatures, but it is in the eye of the beholder, my view on Swedes differs a lot and i, just as you, view the Finns as knife wielding, drunk violent ******** ;)

Itīs a cruel story and I unfortunally recall almost each word you wrote as my own experience! Not beacuse they wanīt to protect us from them, itīs more like they really really hates each inch of our "unfaithful" bodies, minds and souls! (Play that funky music white boy)!

One funny thing is that the same thing happends each time you reveal your personal experience of situations, feelings and warning signs!

You will get heavily accused, mocked and sued by obedient slaves for a sleeping society each time you open your mouth about fundamentalists, tribes and other groups that expells they are the chosen people and will be superior over other ethnicities, religious and politically opinions!

When you tell your story without any lies you will probably be accused of being either a racist, fascist, commie, terrorist, anti-semite, pro-sionost, right wing conservative or left wing revolutionary depending on who you irritated by truly say what you think!

Is this what people call a democracy!

Itīs more like an evolution going backwards managed by Politically Correct Zombies! In my eyes these freaks are nothing but doped sleepwalkers that fights hard to lock them self into professionaly designed prisons!

Pete!

I believe youīre damn right in lots of wise conclusions! Itīs definitely a cultural difference, and the finish fighting spirit "sisu" is well known to me of a few reasons. When I was younger I worked at Volvo and all the "fins" there worked like maniacs to raise the piecework at the assembly line! Not because they were forced to doing so, it was more like they wanted to act and look strong rather than anything else!

They didnīt talk a lot when you tried to socialize with them but many of these workaholics drank heavily on the weekends and a few of them even had their holy water during the week days! No problem with me at all but to most of them it seemed like they were totally changed after a few beers and they suddenly became role models for something like a mad parrots "gift of the gap show case!" So much feelings in one package... anger, tears and joy. All at the same time! Letīs say these guys knew how to party!

P.S. My father in law has been living for 40 years in England but he is originally finish. He is without any doubts one of the most warm hearted and honest men I ever met! He never talk about himself as a victim and he never ask anyone for help! Holy macaronis with loads of makkara what a guy he is!

Hereīs some cruel facts:
"Finland has finally shed a bleak record as one of the world’s suicide capitals after the number of people taking their own lives in this Nordic state has dropped by 40 percent in the past 15 years. Nowadays around 18 out of 100,000 people commit suicide each year in Finland, about the same level as in France and Austria. In 1990, the number was 30 per 100,000.

The decline is attributed largely to better treatment for depression, but even experts cannot really explain why the drop has been so dramatic, admits psychiatrist Jouko Loennqvist, the head of the mental health department of Finland’s National Public Health Institute. “Depression is more often properly recognised, prevented and treated. We have had special projects and campaigns about depression, which is now better recognised and treated. Psychological support and social support are nowadays in better condition,” he said.

Finland’s dire reputation as a nation of suicidals dates back to the 25-year period from 1965 to 1990 when Finland experienced an economic and urban boom. During that period, the suicide rate tripled. By 1991, Finland was the world leader in teen suicides, and among the top three in overall suicides alongside New Zealand and Iceland. Faced with the grim figures, Finnish authorities dramatically increased funding to improve mental health and since 1991 the amount of available psychiatric help has doubled.

[...]Experts meanwhile dismiss the widespread belief that Finland’s dark winters, where the sun doesn’t rise at all in the north for several months, play a role in the suicide rate. “There is a link (between darkness and suicide) but it’s not an important explanation,” Loennqvist said, noting that suicides tend to peak each year at the end of spring when the sun shines late into the day. And experts point out that Norway, located at the same latitude, for a long time had a suicide rate that was half that of Finland."

heheh...no offence mate ;)

A friend of mine was in Denmark for work some time ago, and told me that
he wasn't surprised of the number of suicides up there: always rainy, fog, not too cold, not too warm: really depressing.

Well, alas I tihnk its calming down.

To recap. Theres nothing wrong inside the Republic of Kosova, you just have that as youve seen up there in a foreign neighbouring country, that doesnt much have any impact at all directly in here.

But some say you have that everywhere? Really? France?! Oh my!

People project plans into the future ahead, all the way to 100 years, plans and ways of how the other population will vanish huh?

Thats real sad! Why? Whats the 2100 newborns kid fault?!

As I said, theres much work to be done. Until everyone recognizes that 99.99% of all genes are same, and that the remaining 00.01% is not significant enough for such nationalistic hatred, and superiority illusions!

That, and the latest present century problem... Greed! This one is kinda newer, a by product of over capitalism! Something that came from poverty, only to cause more poverty!

Two directions I see. The old one and the new one. And both involve negotiating and expressing freely, both history present real situation and positive (for a change) projects for a future.

Now then. All this talk about beer, beer, beer! We have our beer, Im not a beer guy, Im a wine guy, but the beers prefering people, including fellow serbs use to love it before. Use to call it Pecko Pivo! Now its this, and its taste has greatly improved:

http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=yfp-t-501&va=peja+beer&sz=all

But, anyone into wines :):p;D:caffeine::tongue::heart::bday::hat:;)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/gwarrander/2592616197/

When Im left without any friends on a desk of strangers, I ask for two bottles of wine. One is .75Lt, very tasty kind, Im gonna take a picture of that one and show it to you here sometime. And I kinda like it to PUNCH me real hard, the wine I mean. So I drink it like water! I usually mix it with something, blueberry, cherry jouces, never though with cola. And then, its buttoms up, and boy, Im sure that ANYONE would enjoy spending some time with me afterwards LOL

EDIT: Yeah thats our own wine refinery in more than one place in the Republic of Kosova! We are exporting it to Germany and perhaps some other places aswell in Europe!

A friend of mine was in Denmark for work some time ago, and told me that

Finland?...naaah, the weather is typically far better than the rest of Scandinavia, except for the winter temperatures, which are lower (distance to guflstream).

but its rarely foggy and statistically you will have more sunny days in Finland than in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

im telling you, the reason for the suicides and other violence in Finland is the mentality..the "Sisu" as Jaxtone mentioned.

Sisu is like the ultimate goal for all finnish, its not possible to translate easily since its more of a state of mind than anything else..its about smiling when you suffer greatly, about never giving up, being alone against all odds.

..basically its much like the old samurai codex of seeking own death, not victory, on a battlefield.

as i said..its a great strenght just as it is a great weakness, much as everything else in life...glass is harder than steel, but it breaks easily, so the strenght of hardness goes on the expence of flexibility.

Sisu was a great strenght in the several wars Finland has fought, mainly against Russia/Sovjet.
in WW2, they fought even after running out of ammo, several places of the frontlines that originally had hundreds of men defending it were being defended by a handfull..on one location only by 8 heavily bearded, nearly starved men without any more ammo than they could scavenge from their enemies...Sisu, great strength, in given situations.

the ideal of Sisu, to take care of your own problems alone is also what has lead to the small Finland with its 5 million inhabitants to have one of the strongest and largest armies in Europe.
the same ideal of dealing with ones problems alone keeps finland from entering a safe harbour, like Nato.

not to ask anyone for help, for any problems, domestic, work, economical..you name it, is a huge weakness of the finnish mindset...
the stress is still there even if you tell nobody, the pressure to be a man, to succeed and not to fail, the fear of being judged for asking for assistance can press some to kill themselfs, or seek solutions in alcohol or simply by releasing some of the pressure within in violent fights...

the Swedes, or perhaps the rest of Scandinavia even is different..you need help, you ask for help and you will receive help, no shame on allowing others to take part in your problems, no shame of admitting ones difficulties.
glass may be harder than steel, but steel doesnt break as easily.

Interesting code there Pete! Suomi Sisu!

One Albanian code is to treasure at extreeme lengths the value of guests!

If one has come to visit you, you will treat him as BEST as you can, expending all your resorces, just to keep the gues satisfied.

Thus usually the best food, beer, caffe, the best place, a specially reserved guest room is designed for that sole purpose of when a guest, who might aswell be a complete stranger, or even someone who the family might be in blood feud with, and still they shall receive the same grand treatment!

Nobody in the family dares to make the guest feel even the slightly uncomfortable! Thats one of two just reasons to be devorced from your wife! If she for instance wont follow up with the best that the house has to offer, or even worse, offends a guest! She may be then devorced! Or if you go to the extreeme rural areas, where they live by the Albanian code, she may be even be shot, from the builed given by the family of the wife too! Thats how much hospitality is overstressed!

They say that the house belongs to God and to The Guest!

Though any guest gets to be treated almost as a holy beeing once has an Albanian household, only two behaviors (among the more obvious ones) will immediately shift the guests image, from the holy beeing to an imposter!!

1) If you were to clean your plate in dinner table with a piece of bread!
2) If you would mingle with the houses fire!

The first one is considered like a sign of challenging ones hospitality, beyond the limits that were realistically given at the time. If you clean the plate with a piece of bread its seen as 'Meh, is this all what you have to offer!!'

The second one has to do with the real power behind the throne. Though the guest has almost absolute attention and is treated up to holy beeing even, its the Hosts' duty to take care of the house temperature, bring the food and the like. And if you mingle with that, it is seen as if though you are proving to the rest of the households family that you are a greater than the Host!

The others are obvious, like beeing impolite, trying to get too close sexually with the household members, and the like.

If any of the above is witnessed to be behaved from the, well, holy guest, then the Host would be greatly insulted, and would open the window and shout as wildly as possible so that the rest of the willage would hear 'IVE BEEN INSULTED!!' . And then the village together with the elderly will come for inspection to check what really happened, and from there it all goes down. Too down.

Thats in places where the code is mostly in use. But here its just misbehavior, and impolite to do the above, and you kinda loose pionts with that behavior.

Oh, and a guest can come for a visit at ANY time!! Thats within 24hours! At any time at all! Just be aware of those two things LOL.

Sisu, roughly translated means "inside".

you could call it grit or toughness...everyone describes it a bit differently, but it is all about to not avoid difficulties, its the "a man gotta do what a man gotta do" thing.

it is courage, it is ignoring pain and suffering, one goal, one target and you put all you have to reach it.

its not a magical thing that only finnish people posses, but it is more of an ideal view of the "perfect man" that people aspire to.

in itself, its powerfull...as long as the challenges are met with successes it will only make you grow stronger and tougher..and happier.
if the challenge proves to be too difficult, the "pride" hidden in the sisu mentality blocks one from giving up or asking for help..so a challenge that is too difficult that could be solved with some help, fast becomes a burden on your shoulders that gets heavier and heavier...it can make you feel a failure, even if you are not.

an american might call it "selfreliance", canadian could call it "grit"...every human has it and knows it, but i suspect only the finns make it into something bordering fanatism.

so, do not avoid Sisu, but be smart enough to understand when you should ask for assistance...

According to your description, Swedes should be all like Rambo. (it is courage, it is ignoring pain and suffering, one goal, one target and you put all you have to reach it.)

very intresting Diedond.

it is important to understand these things when we live in mixed societies...you could be offended by me eating up everything on the plate, trying to give you the message of "omg, this is SO good food, thank you!!" and you could interpret it as "wtf, i give him everything and he asks for more??"

it is said that only 10-20 percent of our communication is verbal, the rest is body language, mimic and behaviour...we make speak the same verbal language but still mess up the message becouse of the other 80 percent of nonverbal communication.

*Pete*
02-02-2009, 06:12 AM
Swedes should be all like Rambo.

the finns..the finnish people are the rambo ones. ;)

the point is, why people commit suicide?
becouse they feel they failed, that they have nothing to offer, that they are not able to take care of themselfs.

why they fail?..becouse they do not ask for help when it is needed, they do not speak about personal problems and instead bury it all deep within themselfs.

ive seen the difference, i lived in Finland, Sweden and Norway...
the Finns are by far, no comparison even, less likely to ask for help..and if you ask a finn if he needs assistance, all you get is a strange look.
if a Finn has trouble at home, he wont tell his closest friends..Swedes and Norwegians do.

when you tell about your problems, many things happen..for one, the problems get smaller if others have similiar problems...you are not a failure, you are normal.
you may also get good healthy advises that you couldnt think about on your own.

speaking to others about your problems is like letting out the pressure from a teapot...a finnish teapot is without a whistle, its shut and it will seem unaffected by the heat under it...untill it explodes of the pressure within.

*Pete*

to add to above...the code of "Sisu" prevents from complaining, whining, asking for help and so on...as i said, it is a strenght and it is a weakness.

Wow, this thread is so amazing now!

If Suomis wont ask for help due to the Sisu! Then I gather that the Shrink or a Clinical Pyschologist wont be able to find a job then, or if it does then its mostly about female problems then huh?

Also, you havent been following your codes lately have you Pete ;) Youve entered Beta and specifically complained there about this and that. Just kidding, Im kinda elaborating from what youre telling me. No offence meant bro.

The only time that I can think of, that Albanians would neglect their wishes, though they really might want to, is when they come as guests, and theyre offered refreshments! Almost always, the first word would be something like "Nah, thanks" then you insist again its "Well, I dont want to trouble you" and then you insist again and then raize one hand and "Well alright a tea/coffe then"

Regarding food differs! Yeah, I thought so too. And to add more to it, I think in Brit culture, its good manners and trying to 'earn' more positive points by making the dinner dish crystal clear white after eating it even!

And the Chinese simply would add more to your plate if you finish it. It is a challenge of hospitality there aswell, but they dont shout out that theyve been insulted over there. Instead they keep puroing more and more. So I dont know weather youve seen that adv about the Brit and the Chinese, trying to impress each other culturaly on a bussiness meeting!?! And the meal was eal too! LMAO

And at a dinner table, naturally the guest has the prime chair. And the geust starts the meal first. The host gets to start out only the Raki first. Thats another alchoholic drink.

Theres so many codes.

My most prefered one is equality among members in the family!

First of, the greater the number of children, the wealthier and stronger the family is. But all male siblings are equal before dad. This one I treasure alot. Cause, in eastern arabic, and I think Turkey (anyone from Turkey care to confirm?) the oldest ones has more authority, and can control the younger sibling. Its like dad tells the oldest one to carry out a chore, the oldest to the younger one, the younger one to the medium one, and the medium one to the smallest one. Its kinda, the smallest ones always get to have more burdens on their shoulders.

And I know this, cause Ive been incorrectly told to follow that code! Thats what happens when you stray away from your own culture, trying to follow the 'modern' ones instead!

And I swear! I always knew that something wasnt correct there, cause anyone older than you had authority over you, while you were the weakest and smallest one there! Carry something from here to there, its always you. And then, it turned out it really wasnt accurate for an Albanian to undergo such a code.

That and theres alot of Turkofilia in certain parts of Republic of Kosova. Especially where I live in Prizren.

BTW - Ive got a collection of knifes aswell. But its not as common as having guns here. Guns are a much bigger neccesity here. By the code anyone from 15 years of age shuold be issued a gun by the parent, and no serious deal is carried out without having guns from each party. But these are more common on the more upper mountainous regions and rural areas. Cause you just cant walk freely with a shotgun in the middle of the city naturally LOL

And the common say about the gun is 'Youll carry it for 40 years, hopefully youll NEVER use it for 40 seconds'

*Pete*

i read (partly) a book about cultural differences for business communication..

about the Chinese, it is expected that the quest eats the last piece of food, not the host.
so if a chinese wants to insult his quest, he might simply prepare a meal of a goat or lamb head and not to eat the eyes or other disqusting parts himself.
the quest however, would be "forced" to eat those parts in order to be polite and "save the face" of his host.

reading that book gave me an insight on how huge differences we have culturally and how easy it is to insult others from different cultures while actually trying to do the opposite.

as for your quest treatment and the polite refusal to accept anything from your hosts, i believe it is very normal in the middle east and the slavic cultures.
you would be shocked over how bad a host i would be to you Diedond..id simply say that if you are hungry, go dig up something from the fridge, thinking that im very polite by letting you be like the owner of the house :D

Which one is it then! Should one clean the dish or not?!

Regarding hospitality over there! Id be shocked LOL!! But then Id now youre culture is different you know!

And knowing how much emotion youve been building inside you, with Sisu, I wouldnt dare challenge your Hostness. Otherwise youd release those emotions by yelling out from the window that youve been insulted, yelling out laud the last bits of it all LOL. Pretty therapeutical it might be, but Id open a hole in the ground and hide the rest of my life LOL.

And Im sure the soundwave would cover the whole Scandinavia, and Id be unwanted throughout there even!

And I couldnt even visit Jaxtone too ;)

Right address: yours USA/NATO air force ... And this is my friendly suggestion.

Really, not political or ironic opinion, i think we have massive loses on all sides but we are fighting, breathing and menage somehow to catch up the rest of the world.

About Europe, i was in France actually, my favored places at azure bay are Cannes and Marcey. I don't love Nice because tey
have nice street, nice beach, nice people, very expensive stores and everything is cool, but after 22h I think everything is closed, no social life (only weekends) and you can see homeless people sleeping in the main streets, vary sad and honestly scary.

Or maybe it's just me because here in Belgrade we have every night great social life without restriction's (even New York have restriction's LOL, also have family there if you asking). Belgrade, the town who never sleeps!

We also have music in our street (seating street coffee bar's also called street gardens), no rush, fuss ... we also work very hard BUT WE ALWAYS KNOW AND WANT to party, be positive and relaxing. We have plenty rafts (great restaurant's, coffee bar's, grand discotheques) on our two river's called Dunav [Danube] and Sava.

By the way i have relatives in Paris and Nice. Vienna is also great city, Hungarian Budapest (my first foreign love) ... many other places actually.

And of course Monaco (Monte Carlo) place i wan to live occasionally, everything is beautiful, peaceful, in order, not so big but like heaven, mine opinion of course. And they have Formula One Grand Prix race, VERY BIG BONUS. :) I love F1.

... But nowhere like home.

My brothers from Montenegro (they are Serbs also if you didn't know, my grand mother is from Montenegro), have "Niksicko Pivo" [Niksic Beer] somebody mentioned. Great beer. Niksic is town in Montenegro.

We Serbs and Ukraine/Russia :) have something very beautiful common and that is:
Milla Jovovich (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000170/).

About "Pecko pivo", it's a Serbian brand but like others stuff you (i don't want to say steal) are "borrow" for now, I can also say that is good. But "Jelen Pivo" [Deer Beer] is better.

I have one very great song for you. And i like to listen when i drink my favored Serbian vine called "Zdrepceva Krv" [Race Horse Blood].

What comes around ... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wp_3TZfaP4&fmt=18)

The vine is very popular, vary tasty, little bit sweat ... but after one/two/three hours (depends on person) start hitting. We have also many other great wine here but for all of you who come to Serbia -> "Zdrepceva Krv" it's BINGO, for start of course!

Well, thats alot better. Just two questions so as I know what will it be with you and me as users of LW in this forums. Id like to know to whom I may be addresing my future comments to:

2) Are you for seeking justice, by putting them murderers to courts and locking them in International Jails like the Hague?

Cause thats the only way its gona end for good!

As for 2012, you surely gave me some homework! But appart from our the Kosova Republics Coil Power Plant that is projected to be realized in 2012, Ive only found that youll be entering the EU in 2012! Is that the 2012 that you kept telling me? If so, congrats, what else can I say!

Well, I dont know M. You opened up the issue of us vanishing after 100 years! Its a pretty dark thought, vanishing 2.5 milion people! I certainly didnt even mentioned anything near that!

Now Id like to be sure what you meant by such a thing?! Dont evade it! Its a simple question really! No silly games, but you need to clarify yourself on front of everyone! Especially me, so as Ill know weather or not I should continue talking to you or not! Simple...

As for the second one, it must be a neutral country! You wont trust weather I really am putting in jail people that made attrocities, as much as I wont trust how well youll treat yours in your jails! Its gotta be neutral, thus the Hague!

USA/Bombs, and their effectivenes at vanishing 2.5 milion people by contamination, Peja Beer and anything else fall secondary to me knowing for sure whats your position regarding those question that naturally are of primary importance!

I am open to talk about whatever else there may be afterwards!

Well, this could be harder than you think actually. Sometimes people do unforgettable and unforgivable bad things, but the same persons did some good work at the same time.
E.g. Napoleon was a big murderer. But, he gave us all a last name in Western-Europe, he gave us the decimal system, good law system, ... So was Hitler a very bad person, but he gave us Volkswagen (hence the name, car of the people), social security and laws that are common nowadays. Btw, thanks to his team, America and Russia could go to the moon, ...

Perspective, that's the keyword I guess. If you deal with everything from 1 side only, war is coming for sure sooner or later wherever a discussion is rising.

I myself am more of a pascifist and trying to find solutions without a fight. It's pitty not more people think this way...

Back from swimm, then dinner, one relaxing movie ...

@DiedonD
You are in serious problem, but maybe you are not aware yet.

Do you know what public forum means?
You want WHAT at NewTek Discussion forum?
Do you have link signature fallow the thread where you talk about political programs?
What's my link signature?
You ask me about something horrifying ... WHERE ... here at NewTek forum?
You don't know my name ... my name is m ... m0184you. :)
You think I'm aggressive and with some military background or do you think that I am someone who with these two own hands make own way of living above all manipulative political bull*hit in any country administration?
Do you lose somebody very close to you in this manipulative, political madness like me?
You think you have the right to demand something from anybody, even in public forum like this one?
You are victim or defendant, judge or prosecutor or defender, here at public and official NewTek forum?
What's your competence?
What's you occupation?
Where do you work?
What are your references?
Do you think that maybe i have more or less years then you?
Do you think that maybe I know little bit more or less then you?
Do you think that I travel little bit more then you?
Do you know what is the the real meaning of freedom these days?
Do you think Novak, Ana and Jelena can respond to your questions and be responsible for you frustrations?
Do you really believe your mate Clinton, one fine man lie own people about some extra activity with Monika?
I mean what's the fuss ... one little ****ink in compare to all wars "without any lie" at Balkan from 1991.-1999. LOL
Do you ever think about our losses, i mean Serbian losses in 3 war (little in Slovenia, then war in Croatia, War in Bosnia and Hercegovina, war and bombing in Serbia - Kosovo i Metohija included), all those killing, refuges, missing kids, kids without parents, illness, we in Serbia under international sanctions, without medicaments, fuel, electric power, restrictions, like in
some second world war camp? Almost 10 years with war hell. And why ... because we all wanted or because Clinton/USA administration and "others" wanted?
I sympathize with all losses on all sides that's for sure. Only person with bad manner, cynic and i dare to say seek person can ask something like that.
Why you, i mean Albanians, are ONLY EXCEPTION in USA politic against islamic people? Ask your self's VERY deeply?
I have nothing against nobody (muslims to). Why should i even say muslims to ... because some smart *ss may think different about me. Person is person, girl is a girl, boy is a boy, child is a child.
Do you really think that I (Serbian Orthodox Christian) in all these messy days can survive and clear my head without faith and respect of my own Ten Commandments religion rules?
Do you think solder are not humans? Think again!
Do you really think that Bush is one quite good fellow?
As i recall you say: >>I do<< ... Say no more, now we know who you are and what you stands for.

At the end of this post:

Do you have Official NewTek resellers in your area (aside Belgrade, Zagreb ...)?
Do you purchase and pay NewTek LightWave product and which one?

Before you start typing anything, remember i ask you nicely, and let always be on your mind, NT BIG BANN, before you start writing anything offensive about me, my people and my homeland Republic of Serbia (Serbia Kingdom).

(Paragraph bellow ... I don't mean at you personally)
I will tell you one great keystone of my one: I don't talk with thieves.
When you RETURN what you been stealing all those years and PAY for that, of course IN DOLLARS/EUROS/SWISS/DINARS, we can
arranged that without problems... then we can consider changing our politics about your protectorate administration.

But let the two of us don't talk about that here, please!
I didn't start this debate!
And, for the last time, we can talk about everything except politic and without flaming.

I'm through with you unless you have something smart to say, addressed to me of course, but watch out if you mention again some Serbian Brands like "Pecko Pivo" and take fake claim then we will be on old tracks again.

************************************************** ***
By the way Albanians are pretty good when we talk about cakes, i love very much "Tulumbe" and also "Baklave".
I never lie.
I love them and i eat them almost every second week. :) Gotta keep attention, to much sugar in it.

Well there you have it people. The mysterious M, without the decency of mentioning his name even to us, the one that sends all the links, all the invitations, and all the continuing negative statements about my Republic of Kosova, is a man (I tihnk!) that refuses to answer one simple question!

A question that he brought about himself, by opening up a schemet about Kosovar people, made up of 2.5 milion people, are suppose to vanish for 100 years!

When asked to clarify for sure, so as me as well as everyone else would know the ones position, which is through a simple answer to an obvious question like:

1) Is it ok to murder civilians!

You have that! Two evasions of asnwering, and though was promised that will answer back everything after we know what were dealing with here, he still made up a dozen of his questions.

Well I still have only those two questions to ask you. Wont do anything else with you M without knowing your clear position in that!

So, the one that invities you to go where he wants you to go, refuses to answer weather or not murdering civilians is ok?

Just what kind of a person refuses that simple question, that you and me would IMMEDIATELY jump to a clear and sharp statement for, is refused in more than one occasion.

So just what kind of a person refuses to answer weather or not it is ok to murder civilians?

Well, Ill leave you to judge that!

All the ones you described may have played some positive role as well as you say.

But Im just asking weather its ok to murder civilians! And am shocked at the delay at answering it really! Would it last this much If I were to ask you?

I dont know about you, but there oughta be a small number of miliseconds in counter, between me seeng the question and rushing in for the most obvious answer! Why the delay!

Whats so much to think about!

Is it ok to murder civilians!

Civilians-murderers, civilians-dead in most barbaric manner, imagine the picture, is M ok with that?

It ought be an important question to you aswell! See he is inviting you? Wanna go there if M happens to be (That would be nutoriosly shocking to all) supporting them murderers? Would you risk going there? Then would you buy all his negative propaganda afterwards? Look at the persons views on civilians! If he is ok with that, and your a civilian of course, so are my fellow non nationalistic serbs, so is the major parts of the world, and so are we here! Is he ok with that or not!

Its a simple question!

Since we are at Suomis, I know a good joke.

So a great tall, well build blond gal comes to Italy. Very well formed, and hot as the CORE itself ;) comes for touring in Italy.

An Italian rushes to her on spot, and starts making moves on her. Well it all goes well and she agrees to hop in on his car for a ride (not that car ;) , not yet)

They got to a certain more isolated place, and get into it.

But whatever the Italian does to her, she seems mute, and like a fridge. One Big Ice Princess!

Of course, that would be a total blow to the stereotyped Stalian Italian, the S-Italian. So he tries even harder. And harder again! Sweats all over, and getting fatigued to no avail, turn to the gal and says:

ARE YOU FINISH!!

She, doesnt approves in a cold way.

So he tries again, and even more faster and more visciously!

Huh....ARE YOU FINISH!!

Again she doesnt replies positevily in a cold manner!

SO he tries so much now, to an extreme level, it almost gets violently, ruthless an all. Spending the last bits of energy, he goes out, and lying on the floor, breathing heavily, barely says it:

Are...you... huh. huh... Are you... finish?!?

She says:

No Im Swedish!

Oh, I see this issue keeps spilling from thread to thread.

Diedond mate,
things don't work like that, you can't have it both ways. You cannot call for war and piece at the same time. You'll have to choose one of them!

On a significant number of threads and posts on these forums you called Serbs murderers and their country lair nationalism and what not. You keep going around provoking and insulting people from that country and than expect them to agree with you. There was a number of fights in here provoked by that behavior.

To put it in simple words you can't insult someone and call him a "brother" and expect him to be ok with that without apologizing first.

Let me put the things in perspective.
Current situation. You think your country is independent. The other guy think it's not. One way or the other you're opinions differ. Whatever you say here won't change the situation and your country wont be any more or less independent. It's an open issue and let's leave it to politicians and country leaders to solve it. Let the guy you vote for represent your opinion on that case.

Look at this way:
Instead of location you deliberately put "Location: The Republic of Kosova - and the last letter is an A, not an O" knowing anyone coming from Serbia will get offended by that. Instead of your signature you put the link to a thread that moderator closed because one of these fights. Again deliberately in order to offend the other party. So every time you post you offend someone and you know and like that.

To set an example, we also have some people from Croatia here and they were engaged in Balkan wars too. None of them said or did anything to offend their fellow Lightwavers across the border. None of them placed any offensive comment about the people they use to be in war with.
Why? Because they grew over it, they moved on.

And if you can't do that, if you cannot move on, then YOU have a serious problem and should probably ask for some professional help or consult at least. And I don't mean that in offensive manner.

The real question here is very simple.

Can you, in the name of peace you want, withdraw all the bad things you've said about Serbian population and their country, ask moderators to remove your offensive messages, signatures and such, and constrain yourself from deliberately offending them in future?

You talk about decency?
You talk about freedom?
You demand answers from somebody on public NewTek forum?
You think you are in position to demand anything?
You can't read what other members of NT community writes?
You talk about murders in 2009. year at my favored official NewTek site?
Look at yours link signature.
You think that everybody have need to show of and be a center of mumbling at public forums?
You want to be my friend with which I will be willing to share my personal and business information!? LOL LOL LOL

Like I said, very sad, very primitive, very bad manner!
Whenever you think you have deranged "freedom" to write something about me, adressedd to me, my people, ny homeland, and my Serbian Brands ... NewTek BANN. I will watching you always just to see if you are improving.

Diedond mate,
things don't work like that, you can't have it both ways. You cannot call for war and piece at the same time. You'll have to choose one of them!

I choose peace

On a significant number of threads and posts on these forums you called Serbs murderers and their country lair nationalism and what not. You keep going around provoking and insulting people from that country and than expect them to agree with you. There was a number of fights in here provoked by that behavior.

I only speak out my POV. If its provocking or insulting them just by telling the recent brief history when the issue comes up, or that the Republic of Kosova is independent ever since the 17th of February, and they get provocked by that! Then they have a problem of reality checking! Cause by me that is so, and theres nothing provocking in it. Its neutral reality!

To put it in simple words you can't insult someone and call him a "brother" and expect him to be ok with that without apologizing first.

To the contrary, the moment he steped in I called him a brother, and now after delaying weather or not murdering civilians is ok or not (that includes you to as civilians), I deeply regret that! And THEN he started provocking me, by putting all kinds of bad propaganda for Kosova. Its all written there, take a good look.

Thats right. They should leave my country alone, and put whatever they want for their country instead!

Why do you think that anyone coming from Serbia would be offended by that realism? If its realism that offends them, then they have a problem with the cool parts of the world that have recognized my country! Not me! Go put negative propaganda to them! And not people that refuse to answer weather murdering is alright, putting all kinds of negativity about mine!

It was never my attempt at offending anyone. Look athe link about Kosovas Indepence, there we were all having fun, until certain nationalist came and ruined it while I was asleep! I regret that I slept, cause I wouldve dealt with it! But it was too late the next morning!

All I ask is to let me speak about my Republic of Kosova in peace! Its recent history when it comes to it, its current status when asked for it from me, cause I matter I live here, and the negative propaganda people DONT.

And you know what! Im gonna speak it out laud as much as I want to in the presently seen neutral real way too! Its not yours to stop me, it may be yours to left me in peace to do it or not, but if your gonna shoot negative stuff about my country, try to hide the overnationalism! Dont just tell out in the open like that that you want us vanished within 100 years! Refusing to clear up the matter with simple question only tends to proove that more and more!

To set an example, we also have some people from Croatia here and they were engaged in Balkan wars too. None of them said or did anything to offend their fellow Lightwavers across the border. None of them placed any offensive comment about the people they use to be in war with.
Why? Because they grew over it, they moved on.

People differ man! For me, oppression and freedom of speach has had more effect than others, and I doubt that they underwent such oppression regarding speach as we did. Now I can finally speak out laud about my country! And this freedom of speach... Its so great man!! I so love it! Ill speak about anything, making my POV. Its never there for an insult, except for those that become restless from facts!

Let me stress again. This is pure neutral historic events about my Country. Only I should speak of it, when it comes to telling it how it is here, cause I live in it, and they dont!

And if you can't do that, if you cannot move on, then YOU have a serious problem and should probably ask for some professional help or consult at least. And I don't mean that in offensive manner.

Well I appreciate that, but as you can see, the suggestion is misfited. All Im doing here is speaking about my country freely! Thats it, thats all.

Do I go and say to you that, 'Listen buddy, dont speak about your country ok, cause the very word you say about it offends me. Whatever you say about Canada is offensive to me, so shutup and be gone with!'

Do I! No, I dont become restless when others speak of their countries! no, I take it as a given! What do I know! I dont live there! Whatever they say, I see it as a given, cause they represent theirs and I represent mine. I even try to have fun with interesting codes, culture, certain cross cultural jokes and the such. Its them who cant take my comments about my country, not me!

Whatever I say, is real to the best knowledge of me! And as I said I never try to harm anyone. All Im doing is telling the truth. In that truth nationalists, NAZZIS were always a trouble anywhere in the world, and this guy here isnt ready to isolate himself from them too, by denying to asnwer a simple question!

The real question here is very simple.

Can you, in the name of peace you want, withdraw all the bad things you've said about Serbian population and their country, ask moderators to remove your offensive messages, signatures and such, and constrain yourself from deliberately offending them in future?

Yes I want peace, Ive never said anything bad about the Serbian population, ive specifically targeted nationalists, cause they are trouble, and it wouldnt look good on you to defend them, nothing I say isnt surreal to be removed, and I have never nor I will ever deliberately offend anyone, without prior beeing offended by them! Though Im not doing that neither!

Theres alot to speak of when a new country is born. Id like to use opportunities when others open up the subject, to say it out laud this time, cause Im here in Europe and wanna tell it!

the truth.

conflicts begin when one side decides that there is only one truth, and everything else is a lie.

reality is, the truth can be like the opposing sides of a coin.
opposite, but still part of the same reality, same reality but impossible to see the other side while looking at one side.

the truth?

did Kosovan civilians suffer, did Serbian civilians suffer, did serbian soldiers commit crimes of war, did kosovan soldiers commit crimes of war, did serbian soldier do heroic acts, did kosovan soldiers do heroic acts?

the truth?...YES, on all of that.

does Serbia have a historical connection to Kosovo, yes, does Kosovan albanians have a historical connection to Kosovo, yes.
do the serbs living in Kosovo have the right to stay and live in peace, do the Albanians living in Kosovo have the right to stay and live in peace, YES.

any of the arguments you use, can be used against you as well..becouse the truth is, so many people has taken part in this conflict, for good and bad, that everything has a base in reality.

you live so close to eachother..why not reach out and have a beer together...make peace, its your responsibility...nobody else will do it if you wont.

If you donīt mind Iīll try to explain my view of why countries, nations and ethnical groups nowadays are involved in war at all! As I see it you are no definitely no enemies, only a product of a designed and profitable conflict!

I see two emotionally driven sides of the same precious coin that the real war criminals squeezes until itīs drained from all itīs blood, tears and profit!

In common, we humans are mostly the same and irrespective of physical differencies we all want a peaceful environment for our kids and families to cultivate in! However, itīs pretty obvious that profitably investors by tradition are very precise when they plan and carry out next step for a future that fits their greed instead of the the planets and its life forms safety! Hereīs their agenda:

PROBLEM! REACTION! SOLUTION!

PROBLEM:
It starts with a whisper to mankinds inner fear of congenital instincts! Nowadays "media" is very effective tool! If you think about it "climate warnings", "financial crises", "terror threats" is just a strathegical way to create collective fear because it divides rather than unites us! Just take a look into the "Tamiflu-, or the Climate Threat Business" and ask a few critical questions and whoops, the very thin wallpaper will fall of pretty quick! :hey:

In older societies the church had the same role as todays media! Since they were connected to the Kingdoms with itīs armed powers and had Mr. God as a backup they were very efficient to spread the words of fear and guilt to the people! In undeveloped countries of today "religion" are still the most powerful way to create conflicts between different ethnical groups and societies!

REACTION:
Given the "chess pieces" the right tools to kill each others and the conflict will go on till the sun dies! Revenge, hate and desires are all connected to electrical synapses in our brains and canīt be stopped by common sense at this stage of the plan!

SOLUTION:
Forget about religion, nationalism and right or wrong! This has never been the real cause for any war! Itīs all bout power and cash! Humans are nothing bout unnessecary pieces in this game! Sorry to say it but the guys behind the industry of wars, genicodes and conflicts donīt give a damn if kids are slaughtered or whole countries are bombed back to stone age! though their only interest is profit! No matter what!

It doesnīt matter which side will be announced as a winner in a conflict!
After the conflict the split up of natural recourses and other profitable parts of a country will be sorted out in trade deals between the different
directors behind the scenes! These directors donīt care much for how many kids, women or men have been slaughtered, mutilated, raped or killed in any conflict because itīs all in the plan from the beginning!

Before a war! Planning and recourses are expensive parts to make the paticipants go from rough plans into deadly visions and painful reality! CASH is King!

During a war: Financial support is essential for armoured troops, weapons, transportation and propagande! Money is the foundation for any war! CASH is king!

After a war! Since everything more or less have been ruined in a country after a war the cost of rebuilding infrastructure, rehabilitation, medical treatment, education and media are significant and dead expensive!
CASH is King!

CASH means kill?
The most profitable business can be found in "war and conflicts" since the forces who willingly feed these "war and conflict" situations by giving loans to both sides! They also know that any war triples their investments because there are three levels of any war!

"Of course with a very high interest as a payback for their loans!"

m0184you and DiedonD:
If the population of this planet were united in peace who would the international investment banks and profitably industries makes bucks on then? The only way to reach this level of mankinds reality is to educate us about whatīs really going on and doing it in peace!

If you wanna convince me I am wrong... speak out!

If we wanna survive as human species, thereīs no alternatives!

as this thread turns once again to something you all seem to agree on, drinking (not something i would agree to, i like the marijuana)

can any one identify this, i was told it's vodka, bought in moscow about 20yr's ago? Also do you think it's safe to drink? Or should i book a room in a rehab center before cracking the bottle?

Yea I'm quoting myself.

Yea I'm quoting myself.

That bottle label says "SPIRT".

an authentic brand of vodka. i believe it means "jet" (ie water jet) but i havent really heard anyone use it in such a way.

get some caviar and dark rye with butter to accompany it.

It looks more like a beer bottle to me. And it's 0.5L which is standard beer measure. But Stooch says is vodka.

Edit: Ok it's vodka. My bad.

If it's vodka and 20 years old nothing will happen to you. Heavy alcohol drinks tend to be better with time.

Mitja and the rest of you, excuse me for saying this! I am an old rockmusician and been on tour for 10 years performing at least 3 000 times! I drank and partied each night more than 9 years and the one day I just couldnīt take anymore. Not by physical reasons... I just couldnīt stand all rubbish people gagged about when they were drunk! Been there! Done that! Triple that and you got the harsh reality for a rock artist! Itīs a dirty job but someone has to do it!

Nowadays when I am above my 50īs I still play a lot but chose my friends and company among people just like me! Not because I ever experienced addiction, probably because I got the wrong genes, Itīs only because people that put their lifes focus on beer seems to be more addicted to this than other important things in life!

Friend 1: Hello Jack! I just came back from a holiday in Thailand!
Jack: Ok! So how was it there, nice?
Friend 1: Well the beer was only a few bucks!

Friend 2: Friend 1: Hello Jack! I just came back from a business trip to India!
Jack: Ok! So how was it there, nice?
Friend 2: Well the beer was pretty cheap!

Friend 3: Hello Jack! I just came back from a pleasant visit to Germany!
Jack: Ok! So how was it there, nice?
Friend 3: Well they had a lot of beer, and it was cheap to!

When I asked these questions I wanted to know my friends experiences and enjoyments about foreign cultures, traditions, beautiful sceneries and art! But not beer in common! Sorry to say it but God damn it, what a flat perspective some people have of the world!

So I had to investigate deeper and ask a few guys in my own age:

- Hello Rich! Can I ask you one thing in private?

- Yes of course Jack!

- How come that each time we go to a cinema, meeting or any other event you always want to go to a pub and have a few beers?

- Well, I like beer Jack! (Burp!)

- Yeah I know that for sure! But even when I call you in common weekdays I always hear that metal clicking sound in that background as well!

- Yeah, so what, I like beer a lot! (Frustration?)

- But let me put it this way, when I go to see a movie and itīs true I might be a cineast but my experience is that before each film is finished you always ask with a whispering porno voice if we can hit a pub before I drive you home! Thatīs kind of a wrong focus on a movie and to me it sounds more like the film just was an alibi for drinking beer!

- Well, I said I like beer!

- Come on, weīve been friends for years now so tell me whatīs on your mind really?

- Ok, what the heck do you think is the reason? A wife that thinks TV-soaps are more interesting than sex are a pain in the "A" to me. When I drink beer it gives me a feeling of luck even if it only lasts for a couple of hours!

"Well thats one of my beer drinking buddies story! Whatīs yours?" :)

That is a true rarity you've got there. "spirt" is not a brand, but russian term for pure alcohol.
It's grain alcohol from soviet era. 96% or 190-proof or 192-proof to be exact. (Yes, it Would be equivalent to Everclear)
Bottled in standard half litre beer bottle. Writing at the lower right side "питьевой" means drinkable and was included on the label for clarification purposes, since paint stripper and various other household chemicals were sold in the same bottle. I guess it was originally intended as rubbing alcohol, but stocked in shops right next to vodka and liqueurs on booze shelf. People used it for cocktails, in rumtopf instead of rum and some drank it neat. It's sort of overproof vodka if you will - 96% alcohol, 4% water. While in air-tight bottle it doesn't deteriorate over time, I would not open it for three reasons: I'm not entirely confident of the production quality of such things of that era, handling 96% vol alcohol is effectively telling your liver 'You're fired', it's more valuable as a novelty - I'm guessing here, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's less than fifty bottles left in the world of this particular one.

Yeah Right Pete! Nice to hear someone else who feels just about the same! Cool! To me itīs not about morality since I truly believe itīs up to each one of us humans to decide how he/she wantīs to live their lifes! Itīs more about a level of awareness, to always have full control over my own mind and actions! Damn, what a loser I would be if a relative went into trouble and I were not able to help!

I tell this because it happend to me 5 years ago when Jack Daniels and me had a very wet conversation with a bottle of coke! I did get this phone call no one wantīs, from one of my daughters friends. There had been a fatal car accident with an explosion and the first information was that the car my daughter sat in started to burn! What should I do? I couldnīt drive my own car to the place where the accident was because I was too drunk! Twenty minutes later one of my daughters friends, one of these motorcycle guys with a very bad reputation in media, offered me a ride to the hospital where my daughter now was transported to... Luckily enough for my daughter and her "beer drinking" friends it was the car that caused the accident that exploded, and the guy inside it must have had the luck of the century since he flew out the car window at the explosion. It was one of them newly arrived refugees that had been pretty drunk while driving his car very fast, without a drivers license but of course with a mission to earn a few bucks as an illegal taxi/cab! Now this nightmare for a father told me that as long I have responsibilities for kids and family I will NEVER drink a single drop of beer/whiskey when I am in a distance close enough to rescue them in case of danger! I admit that I have a thing going on with flights and whiskey! Since I once worked as a industrial designer and have a technical background I know the the "human factor" and "greed" in the production process overrun all safety rules and calculations!

As told earlier I was a heavy drinker without an addiction while touring for more than 3000 live events during 10 years. I know my limits and whiskey actually has another and more vitalizing effect on me than beer, that I experienced more as a sleepy and dull! So during a flight I can drink about 2 litres whithout negative reactions or social melt down! This can still be very annoying for people on the plane because they often believe that thereīs gonna be problems because the amount of booze. Last time I visited Las Vegas was a few years after 9/11 and the top security guys at Amsterdams airport were kind of edgy and rough when they asked their questions to the passengers at the gate! I just had to ask...

- Excuse me sir!

- Yes! (The american security guy raised in his full length and probably stared down at me from behind his MIB flashy sunglasses!)

- Do you serve whiskey on this flight! (I might have smiled a bit because the situation was so absurd with all these MIB surrounding us in the que!)

- How much have you planned to drink? (Now he changed his professional behavior and asked me this in a quite rude tone!)

- Well, how much do you have sir? (This resulted in a laugh he couldnīt hold back and I was cleared for take off!)

I usually drink at these flights of three reasons:

1. I am too far away from my family duties to interfere with any physical situation!

2. I am safe in an environment where I do not need to listen to drunk people!

3. I love the taste of whiskey!

Cheers!

Its very shocking, the fact about the dreaded phonecall for your daughter Jaxtone!

Flames leave awful marks on people! Im so glad nothing happened to your daughter there!

And I so get the distance between you and your kids man! Ever since you know what, Ive always watched a very, VERY close eye on my kids!

We usually head for the mounatins to have a drink! But none ever leave my site anywhere out! To the point that, the van that brings my kids home, theres like 20m from there to my house, and I was just thinking about how to cover that small area aswell!

Even after two bottles of fast drinking, I dont lose it! After 1 bottle, I swear I remember things alot better than anyone. After the second one not so much though.

And its during the transitional phase from first bottle to the second, that I get these alarms from my body! Anyone get those alarms! Heart beats faster, its almost like a voice saying "ARE YOU CRAZY!!" that slowly fades away, and gets pitched in the volume kinda, while I get on my second bottle phase LOL :D

But, if you consider me talkactive and friendly here, its NOTHING compared to how I get then :) Really, everything mixes in with one another. Whatever you know intelectually mixes with the best of the feelings, and if someone you value is there, it all gets very enjoyable too!

And, I rarely drink!

Good to hear you are a considerate father as well!

I am considered to be very lucky that things didnīt go more wrong that night and God knows my daughter was the most lucky that night!

The guy who drove the car that smashed my daughter and her friendīs vehicle was a refugee from Nigeria that tried to made a few bucks while he was drunk and trying to invite people to his unregistered cab! The guy was lucky to because he didnīt even get any injuries. But guess what he did! After the crash when my daughter was knocked out in the backseat of the old Chevy and her friends were screaming becuase dislocated shoulders and broken legs! He did put his booze stinking face into their coupé and asked for ciggies and beer!

He might have been in a statement of shock but I tell you his big luck was that I wasnīt in a strikeable distance!. I guess he would never been able to even ask for a matchstick after I was done with him! Grrrrrrr... what an idiot! :thumbsdow

I am definitely no moral police and as long as people can handle social situations when they drink, dope, smoke or whatever itīs fine with me! As long as they do not interfere with other people that donīt wanna listen to problems, fight or have anything to do with them! Most people are ok, the problem I have is with morons that in a a totally respectless way risk other peoples life, mental health and integrity!

Nice target on Brazil! I believe that many of the "less rich" there still are a lot more happy than mentally sterelized minds from developed countries! Maybe it has something to do with the sun and heat and passion for life! I donīt know!

What I would do was to visit the blind Capioera Master Joao Kanera and ask him for some well paid private lessons! Thanks for the info, I thought there was something up with this bottle. the lack of the word Vodka was a big hint. That it has a high proof was less concerning than the quality of production, I wouldn't want to go blind or worse from something distilled with an old auto radiator. As far as drinking, it takes me about five years to go through a fifth of Tequila (El Jimador "Tequila Reposado" is one of my favorites).

And Jaxtone, always drink in moderation, from what I've seen the drunk always thinks that their the most sober one in the room and take it from a former hard core drug addict (in April I celebrate 27 years without a needle in my arm) doing a thing to excess weather or not your in range of your family is never a good idea.

Hi Diedon!

In Sweden the reality is that if someone really would like to kill another person, everybody knows that the safest way to avoid a long time in prison is the following:

Get drunk! Hit the target with your car and blame it on the alcohol!

6 months in prison and no drivers licens for two years instead of approximately 7-10 years behind bars!

Itīs mostly people at the same parties and other occasions that have been chocked to see that anyone that almost never drink can stand up, talk as usual and act as normal after this amount of holy water!

:)

And Jaxtone, always drink in moderation, from what I've seen the drunk always thinks that their the most sober one in the room and take it from a former hard core drug addict (in April I celebrate 27 years without a needle in my arm) doing a thing to excess weather or not your in range of your family is never a good idea.

Sounds like they have a healthy attitude towards their body's and sexuality, if more peoples had these values we wouldn't have some of the repressed sexual problems we have, especially in the U.S., I once went to a nudist camp and it was a great leveler. it becomes not what you look like or what you do in the outside world, but what you are as a person, there's allot of eye contact going on and they quickly weed out the creeps, of the short time I spent there I returned home feeling physically cleaner and more relaxed than I had in years.

If toasting with friends in a German beer hall, your eyes had better meet theirs — if they don’t, a German superstition says you’re both in for seven years of bad luck in the bedroom.

Whoah, now THAT'S harsh!

Not Budweiser, which is now half-Belgian, but never was a tasty beer and leaves too bitter of an aftertaste.

I've never heard of that one, haven't seen it anywhere in Florida that I can remember and my local beer store carries allot of micro-brewery beers.

Bud Light isn't too bad, better than regular Bud at least. Personally I prefer Guinness Stout - give me something other people look at and go WTF any day. ;)

A lot of good brews don't get over to the east coast (and vice versa). Colorado has many good brews as well, Fat Tire (New Belgium brewery in Ft. Collins) being one of them.

There is a great barrier (beerrier??) between California and Florida, called the Midwest, home of Milwaukee Beast. Keeps the other beers from crossing over.

Do really entire families go to saunas naked on a single room all at once!!

one of my oldest memories of my childhood is from a sauna..i was in a small, wooden bathtub filled with water, place in the sauna..the whole family was there, mother, father, aunts and uncles, granmother and grandfather...

in Finland the sauna is sacred, its a place where normal taboos do not belong in..while even the most hardened Finn would be shocked (and discusted) of seeing his grandmother walking around naked in the apartment, it is absolutely normal in the sauna.

the love Finns have towards the sauna is without comparison, they would rather let go of their vodka and beer rather than the sauna, and if you know Finns you would know what alcohol means to them ;)

there is even an old saying "If alcohol nor sauna will cure your sickness, it is lethal"

there are examples of Finnish UN troops in hot nations, Middle east and Africa for example..upon arriving to their designated location they will build a sauna before they build a base, and if the base is existing then they will simply add a sauna to it.

there are stories of a finn in the australian desert who was mining Opals (or what ever)..one of the warmest places in the world, and he built a sauna next to his mine.

the sauna is everything for a finn..its the national identity, you will find 2.5 million saunas in Finland, but only 5 million Finns...more Saunas than cars i guess ;)

once i heard three old men who were kids during WW2 speak about the war.
once the war was over against Sovjet, finland had to ask the germans to leave northern Finland where many had been located..Germans upset about this started to burn every house they found in north Finland...after a short war with Germany they finally left the nation.

anyway. those old men were speaking about it...and one was explaining..

(quoting from memory)

"I understand that the Germans got angry with us, brothers in arms, for turning our coats and signing a peace deal with Sovjet, i completely understand that they wanted to punish us for it...i bear no grudge towards the Germans for burning our city, our church..even my fathers house, it is ok and i understand them...but WHY "#"%%## in the "#Ī#%Ī"# did the "#"#Ī%&% burn the Ī#"Ī"#Ī'ing SAUNA???!!!!!"

the two other old men also started swearing and cursing the Germans, all three completely and honestly pissed off...60 years after the German army burned their Saunas.

Right this is great. Im really getting a picture here.

Suomi Sissu, Alchohol and Saunas. Oh and the knives.

Regarding eye contact like in Germany:

If toasting with friends in a German beer hall, your eyes had better meet theirs — if they don’t, a German superstition says you’re both in for seven years of bad luck in the bedroom.

It is considered Alarmingly dissrespectful if your a guest at someplace, and your issued with a caffe, or beer, but the one issuing it, gives it by lowering his hand below his knees, and not looking you into the eye, and gives it like that disrespectfully!

Its another code. If someone gives you coffe, beer, wine, but gives it by going low, lifting his leg a bit, and giving it below his knee, it is considered that your are beeing disrespected majorly!

People that didnt took vengance in the infamous albanian bloodfeuds, where treated as such! And heres what happened once.

A newly wed had a blood to take (meaning, in the bloodfeud, they had just lost one member of his family, and now its a rightful move to take one from the other family) but because of the upcoming baby, the man left his vengance for a while longer, to the point that his bloodfeud family member, was going out from hiding openly in the middle of the day, which is also disrespectful (The one that took blood, should only show up at night, and make sure that the family doesnt sees him. If he has killed once, he shouldnt repeat the traumy each time the other family sees the killer). Regardless of that, he was going out in the open, challenging even further the man in doing so.

While on the other hand, the man was thinking ahead, for his family and for the baby. Though he could kill him, and it was rightful thinkg to do, he wanted to prolonged it after the crops are done that would sustain his family. So to make sense of his critical sistuation, he goes to the wisest of all in the mountains, which of course is the priest.

The coffe was put on the pot and time for it beeing ready, and alas to be issued to the man from the priest was slowly and dreadfully coming! Just how will the priest issue the coffe?! The man thinks, the priests are above these codes, he looks at the tons of books on the library that the priests have read, surely the priest should understand that, the bloodtaking shoulda be left for a while longer, after the crops are done good enough in order to sustain his family and his upcoming baby. Cause once the blood is taken, he must restrain from showing up at day or night, and with noone left to do the crops, it will all be wasted to the cost of beeing blocked from providing his own family!

So he thaught all grand of the priest, and the coffe suddenly was ready! The priest takes the coffe, and though was thoguht of above the codes, the priest issued the coffe below his knees and without looking at the man! So, nothing changed there aswell. Disrespected, he waits for the guy from the other family who was appearing openly in braod day, awaited for him in ambush, and stroke him in the middle of the forehead, turned his body, and left the shotgun near to him, stopped the first person and told that he took the blood from the bloodfeuded family, so as the news may spread, and immediately came in as a guest to the next house, in order to be issued with a coffe properly! And upon realizing that he had taken blood, the memebers of that hosue, issued coffe properly, by looking the guest in the eye, slowly and honorably!

This is from Ismail Kadare, our most famous writter.

Thats how much it means to be issued with a coffe properly!

Of course its much different down here in the cities. I know Ive thrown a cola to a friend of mine, from far distance, saying 'Catch!' and didnt even bother looking at his eyes.

But its just down to positive cultural points these days.

another word for bloodfeud is Vendetta.

Vendetta was a small town in Italy or Sicily, and one time a few hundred years ago a woman was accused for stealing an egg, so the family of those (family A)whose egg was stolen went at night and stole a hen from the womans family (Family B).

the next day 3 young men went to family A to get back the hen, instead they got insulted and beaten, so family B took revenge on some young men from family B the nest day, beating them badly on a street...this went on for a few weeks untill one died.

both families gathered allies from other families and something resembling of a civil war started in the town...three months after the woman had been accused for stealing the egg, all men from the city were dead, children, adults, elderly..all dead in the bloodfeud.

the remaining women left the town and scattered in other towns in Italy and all that is left of Vendetta is a sad story and a synonum for bloodfeuds.

an eye for an eye, blood for blood attitude did exist even in the calm scandinavia a long time ago, when the law was handled by inhabitants in a town and not by a govermental authority as the police and legal system.
many traditons did make sence once, but in time they get replaced by better systems...if you ask me, capital punishment is pretty much bloodfeud institutionalised...not a necessity to ensure the safety and security of people, it is only a revenge to pay in blood for what was taken in blood.

...the problem though, is that we never can be completely sure about guilt even if a person is sentenced as guilty, bloodfeuds have the same problems...for example, did the woman in Vendetta really steal the egg or was she innocently accused as she said?

Children!!

That is out of context in Albanian Bloodfeud! Of course teenagers from 15 years of age are considered as grown and are issued with a gun by the code. But they are considered as grown.

And only the one that pulled the trigger is the mark for bloodfeud in Albanian Bloodfeud. Not other members! And never women!

In essential there were two codemakers during the rule of Ottoman Empire times. Dukagjin, and our all time hero, the guy that stopped the Ottoman Empire from reaching Venice, Skenderbe.

Skenderbe was raized in the Turkish millitary, but never broke bounds with his Albanian ties, and when he learned the arts of war, turned against the Ottoman Empire, and successfully blocked them in a small town of Kruja. Not after 10 years after his old age death could alas an entire Ottoman Empire finally capture Albania, which then included Kosova aswell.

Anyway, beeing raized in a Turkish background, he brought this code that in bloodfeud, any mamber of family A can take blood from any member from family B.

Previosly the code of Dukagjin said that the family A can only take one blood from family B, and only the shooters blood!

And them two had discussed their differences to no avail. And the northern part, us here in Kosova mostly, where Dukagjin was controlling, followed his code. And The other area where was controlled from Skenderbe, they followed his code, which essentially is Turkish generated.

Thats alotta detail. And yes, it was governing of law from grass roots as they say, no government laws like we have em today. But as you say it made sense then, and in our case, it is what kept our identity, and helped us dodge entire Empires for 2 millenyas! section on more recent history has been removed.
