Hi Guys!

I want to know if some of you have this kind of problem, here's two consecutive renders:



The only thing I have changed is changing distant light to area light. There was no way to have a clean render after that but to launch layout again. So I put "multithread problem" is the title because each of the black part are the section of each of the four cores.

(This is not a common problem I have, but with hd instance, I got that almost everytime)

Do you know if there is something to do? (I'm on 9.6 under windows xp pro (32 and 64 bits))

After some tries it appeared that it was the SG AmbOcc node which was the problem.

Have you tried it with 1 thread. That might work, a lot of those shaders aren't multi-threaded.
