An another suggestion for LW8:

1. Hypervoxel:
Layer type: Gradient; Input parameter: Particle Age in % of life.
Presently is in frame.

2. animate gradient

Another good idea, Gaetan.

When using PFX Emitters with Hypervoxels, I'd like to see the Gradient options for "Distance to Object(separate XY and Z options)" that you get when you aren't using particles. For some reason it gives you "Distance to Particle (XY and Z)" and a "Distance to Object" option that doesn't let you choose just the XY or Z. Or maybe Newtek could link the "Particle Size" option in the PFX Emitter Panel (which does have this desired option) to the Hypervoxel size.

I would like to be able to use this linear axis function to make Hypervoxels flatten out (negative Stretch on Y) when they hit a ground plane without being limited to a radial falloff from the origin of an object.

As it is now I use a Value procedural with a Texture falloff on the Y Axis and a Gradient with a Previous Layer option. However it would be nice to have it all in one Gradient option we see in other parts of LightWave.
