View Full Version : Rotating on pivot of child item

So I'm animating this transformer spy camera for a class project, and it's all in layers in a single object and parented in layout. He's basically got a head, two arms, two legs and a body. As you can see in the first image, the location of the first pivot isn't exactly ideal, but I haven't changed it because I can deal with that for now.

In the second and third images, you can see the pivot of the left leg and how it effects everything below it in the hierarchy, like it should. But what do I do if I want to rotate everything else on the pivot of the leg? So I can, for example, have him standing on that one leg and wobbling around on that pivot. Is there an easy way to rotate the camera body on the pivot of one of its child items?

No good way to go about this? I'm thinking if their were some sort of dynamic groups I could group both haves together and set their pivots to the right places and do it, but I don't think there is such a feature.
