View Full Version : Objects outside grid

I am using LW 9. I have created a starfield using point2polys with a nebula painting object which i made on PS. Both objects are 5Mm in size with a grid square size of 1m.

My starfield and nebula (when loaded) are far outside the grid, so i cant see them (but present when i render). How can i adjust the LW settings so that i can see the starfield and nebula objects in Layout mode, even though they are outside the grid?

Also, how do you change the default "grey" background colour? It would help if i made it back so that i could see my starfield.

Kind regards,

This happend to me also. In order to see things better in layout go under Edit, display options, and change the grid square size

To change the background colour, go under windows, backdrop options and you should find the settings.

Grid size will determing how far out you can see..of course, it'll also start clipping objects that are closer when you make the grid larger...be nice if you could just turn that off and see everything.
