Hi,
Happy New Year to all!
Just a post to show some of the stuff we've been doing over the last year or so. All rigged (by me) and animated in Messiah, modeled, textured and rendered in Lightwave 9.3 (by me and others).
We've been having a lot of fun, working mostly on children's entertainment and education - as you'll see from the pics below.

There's a video clip at http://www.triggerfish.co.za/index.htm?
Let me know what you think :)

Great stuff. Messiah and LightWave - good combo.

Edit: BTW: have you posted this on setuptab.com?

It looks very nice, bravo, i like the fact that everything has a nice warm color, many lightwave renders suffer from bad lightning and color.

Very nice! I like the animation, it's energized and not 'floaty' like some CG I see these days. Lip sync is great too. What's your opinion of using Messiah for lip sync? (I'm considering buying Messiah).

Besides the great color - Fabulous Character Design!

Ditto on the question of how you do lip-sync.

I know this question was not directed at me and I also do not want to turn this thread into a 'reasons to buy Messiah' thread but I will just say that I think the lip sync tools in Messiah are as easy and effective as it's gonna get in Messiah's price bracket (probably higher) and I just love the box controllers - a doddle to set up. Also, there is quite a buzz in the Messiah community with a new forum (www.setuptab.com) and the tools created by Ulven such as a autorigger and walk generator. With these tools I can have a character rigged and walking in under 30 mins.

Thanks for checking our stuff out!
I gotta agree with StOuen - Messiah is great for lipsync and we do use the box controllers pretty extensively for facial animation.
Lightwave's fast GI has really saved our bacon on a lot of projects, and has helped us to develop the look we have today - as well as a bit of post colour correction.
But really Im lucky to work with a very talented team who can get the best out of the software and make nice pics.
