He's the author of the awesome 'Better Bloom' plugin for LightWave.

Unfortunately there is no 64 Bit version. I tried his website (http://lynx.aspect-design.de/plugins/betterbloom_info.htm) for an email but can't find one.

It seems most of his site is down too.

Does anyone know him, or have an email for him? It's a bit of a long shot, but would love a 64 Bit version of this wonderful plugin.

Or is it as I fear, another developer who has moved on? :(

Cheers
Matt

He has, a long time ago. Last time I checked he was working on YafRay, the external renderer for Blender.

That's a real shame.

So this is him here:
http://www.yafray.org/index.php?s=9

I would email and ask, but I suspect the answer will be no.

That's a real shame.

Not surprising though. An open source code base is a lot more interesting (and sensible) for academic or "fun" (as in spare time) projects.

Mike

Maybe he is willing to release the code. I would love a x64 and Mac Version as well.

Cheers, Florian

P.S.: I alsways thought that Mike was in it for the kittens, not the chickens... ;-)

Unfortunately not, they take my breath away (I'm allergic to the little buggers... and found out after living with up to 16 cats for a couple of years).

:chicken: it is then...

Cheers,
Mike

You need to get the allergy-free version.

Actually, these are worse when you arew allergic to cats, most people are allergic not to the fur but to the oil the skin secretes.

And yes, it does look like a nut sack with eyes...a very angry nut sack.

That means you'll need to write infini:chicken: to avoid storage issues. :)
