I just did some more tests before posting the msg below and
found that light colour/intensity doesn't get exported and is not
visible in the render buffer viewer - what am I doing wrong?
(assuming that Lightwave is behaving)
The attached image shows the surface RGB data, shading (diffuse
or otherwise there is no major difference) and the way it should
look (un-imagine the radiosity - the image is pretty much the same)
This also leads me to add the question, where is the radiosity
buffer data?!

More importantly where is the light/light colour data in the PSD
exporter? Maxon seem to have this sorted out with thier exporter.

cheers,

Ren
..........................

I editted this a bit as the radiosity thing was distracting from the
main subject of lights/light colour buffer data not being available

Also bad 16 bit exporter?
I tried the 16bit export option but photoshop can't open the 16 bit file and DF demo shows unusable pickled layer data
I watched the DF videos here about the PSD exporter but no joy...

Just to let you know. I'm wondering the same thing. Please let me know if you figure it out. That .mov tutorial was nice and all, but please give us something useful. I need a tutorial using the other buffers. ESPECIALLY radiosity. Who wants an image like the one in the Tutorial? :(

Feeling your pain,
Carbon
