View Full Version : How To Control Multiple Image Map Texture Opacity Channels with Sliders?

Wow, try saying that title three times fast.

I setup a surface with multiple image map layers and enabled keyframes on the opacity of each. I really wanted an easy method to interact with these layers - like toggle switches for each layer - so I figured I'd give sliders a shot.

When I go to assign the channels to the sliders, however - I run into this error:

"Duplicate channel ID or channel name Opacity"

I know I can still get access to everything in the graph editor - but I'd think the workflow would be much faster with a simple toggle/slider interface.

Any thoughts how to get around this?

It's asking you to rename the channels. Will it allow you to do that?

Hey Daforum -

I tried to rename it with the slider "label" as you can see on the first screen shot, still generates the same error.

It still generates an error - as you can see by the second screen shot, the graph editor labels both channels identically - is there a way to rename them from here?

You could try a modifier channel follower on a nul and use the slider on the null
