View Full Version : No FBX I/O

so I found the FBX export plugin, but unfortunately when I import into Maya the UV bake is not there.

When I re-import the object into LW, the UV map is gone.

Which is the correct FBX export to use to maintain this information?

i dont know about FBX, but i know that before you export to OBJ you have to assign a texture image that uses the UV map in order for LW to properly export it. try the Layers system, not the node editor, because i'm not sure if nodes will take.

I don't know why the info is lost on re-import to LW, but the UV was there in Maya. I thought the format retained the image map and so was confused.
