I'm building a body without symmetry turned on. So I have one half built and when I mirror it and stitch the two together with Merge Points and Weld it leaves a seam that shows up when I render. Anybody else have this problem? What could I be doing wrong?

Check that the points at the centre actually are X=0 - there could be points that are slightly off, enough for the points merge to miss.

Also, check for strange polygons (especially 2-sided ones) - they crop up in the strangest places.

Merge Polys did the trick somewhat but there's still a seam. How can I check to make sure the vertexes are at 0?

Ok I got it. It was errant polygons. Thanks.

Even though you've solved the problem I'll give my answer to this question: usually, I select all the vertexes I think should be at 0, then use v to set the value.

Gotcha. Another one the problems is that right at the seam was a column of verts. I had to delete them to get rid of the seem as well as delete the polys. Thanks for the help.
