View Full Version : Bone weirdness

I have set up a character rig, but am getting an odd problem. The eye bones will only work if I turn off all bones and only turn on the eye bones...
I set up a weight map in modeler that sets each eye to its own map, then I have the eye bones set to use weight map only, since it doesnt need to effect anything else. The head also has a weight map to keep it seperate from the eyes.

I've tried turning off the head bones down to the neck, but no help. Am I missing something?

You can get weird results at times if you have weight maps for only parts of the model. One solution is to put the eyes in another layer and parent the eyes to the head bone and animate them with bones or targeting. Pole item would be good for that.
