Here is my model of a Stegosaurus. Comments/criticisms appreciated. Tips on making the skin better appreciated also.

How did you color the skin? Is it UV or what?

it's a vertex color map... (using vertex paint)

I'd quickly suggest changing that to UV. Painting the image maps and useing UV projection provides infinitely more control than vertex paint.

The (I guess) procedural bump map shows lines that are too long and straight... You get to see these grid-like patterns... Tone them down...

yes, it just seemed like getting all the UV polys worked out would take forever... Is there a quick way to produce a UV for a model like this?

Thanks for the compliment! The lines are a cubic-mapped bump image... I can work on that...
