This is far from being a usable key, but I wanted to do this as a proof of concept.
I adapted a Shake tutorial by Alex Lindsay of Pixel Corps/DV Garage to Nodal.
Maybe someone can take this and figure out how to make something useful out of it.

The footage that is being keyed here does have some challenges with it. It isn't frizzy blond hair but it does have hair and reflective surfaces.
I tried a few different things to get rid of some of the green spill but didn't have much success. I tried using a gradient to isolate the matte edges and used that as a matte to desaturate (using the color tool) the green fringe. It didn't work because it turned parts of the shirt grey.

Yeah, I've been wanting a way to pull green/blue screen from images or video footage. I'm wanting to use it to place green/bluescreen characters [on flat planes] into sets made in LW. Would be great to really figure this one out!! It would also help me to design sets for characters to be placed into like a matte shot.
