I have been unable to get my Toaster 2000 in my Amiga 3000 to work recently. I installed the software that autochooses 2000/4000 a few years back [4.something, I forget now] and now, when I try StartToaster, I get toaster unable to genlock and my screen goes to a green tint. Patch3000 fixes this.

I have been testing the toaster with a tube camera set to bar gen on input 1, a monitor on either pgm or pvw and a usb capture device (with 75ohm on the loop out) on the other.

Some images from my tests:

Any ideas?

I get similar results with a multisync monitor on the DE15HD connector as these (using a 1084s on the DB23 connector), regardless of the enable/disable switch position.

What kind of monitor and what kind of cable do you have hooked up to the Amiga, and what video mode are you using on Workbench?

You say you get the same kind of problem with a multisynch monitor, which should be the case.

The Video Toaster depends on a feedback loop in the 1084 monitor cable in order to genlock the Toaster frame synchs with the Amiga chipset. It will not work with a multisynch monitor unless you have a Synch Strainer or similar adapter (the chromed plastic Commodore video out to VGA adapter will not work) in place to provide the feedback loop that is needed.
