Hey all! I have a few questions here....

...first off, what exactly is SSS and what does it do? I know it's a node, and I've seen some really nice renders with it, but how do you set it up? Secondly, does it affect lighting, too? Or is it just object passed? I'm getting ready to put a lot of work into some models, and I want my textures and lighting to be really nice. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ftp://ftp.newtek.com/multimedia/movies/LW_9/Nodes_FastSkin.mov William Vaughan did a nice video about the LW fast skin shader, which has built in SSS, which might be informative for you!
