View Full Version : Extract UV maps to polygons?

I was wondering if there was absolutely any way of taking a UV map and extracting it to make a flat polygon version?

I doesn't need to have any specific information to it like surfaces or parts. I just would like a plain UV to polygon extraction.

Is it possible? Free plugin, maybe?

Cheers,

Tom Speed made a script for that some time ago.

Thanks, that's a neat script.

It's still a bit of a workaround to get the morph to become a permanent mesh but it's a small price to pay.

Would still love a direct UV to permanent mesh script or plugin, though.

Still, thanks for that and thanks to Tom Spped for his wonderful little script.

Sorry, but how does that work?

I can export my object as a DXF but that just exports the object normally.

Actually, I needed to add the "export EPS" plugin into my menu but I managed to get it to work in the end.

Thanks, Akademus! It worked beautifully!!!!
