That's brilliant news, I'm really pleased to hear this, especially as I love LightWave more and more every day I use it, I really do!
It has to be said that most of that is down to your tut's, William, big thank's for those, a product is nothing unless you can use it

It was your video about particles coming from a hole in a tyre that finally persuaded me to get LightWave, I could hardly believe that controlling something so intricate as individual particles could be so easy.

Congrat's NewTek, William, all the development team, support, I'm really loving LightWave.

Wow, well of course that wasn't rigged. Usually I would expect maya or something else coming from a larger company. Certainly must of made an impression on the mac users!
Who won last year?

Lightwave is relatively inexpensive, powerful, easy to learn in comparison to Maya and the ilk.

NT has been outstanding on its interaction with mac users on this site, and in showing a commitment to making Mac UB and 64 bit versions, more so than any other company.

What more could you ask for as a Mac user, they deserve the win.

This also raises the value of us animators working with LW to potential jobs and freelance. LW has really given me another boost in excitement and creativity through the years. This is very good news for Newtek and us. Congrats! :beerchug: (in my case, this would be two coffee drinkers) LOL I'm a coffeeaholic:D:D:D

Wow, well of course that wasn't rigged.

I beg to differ. I think it was rigged. Bones and weight maps are just too tempting.

Sorry folks, had to say it. :D

Something that cheezy deserves a response. You think the voters for this competition do CA? Not that it deminishes the quality of lightwave if they didn't:question:

Just to add ...

This could be a great chance to get some free (and paid, if possible) advertising in the MAC-specific magazine stands... milk this one for all it's worth, NT ..

.. just get them out this year! Go for the 2008 trifecta - beside the rest of the numbers: 9.3 + 9.51 + 64 bit .. ;)

ps. Congrats to Chilton and the rest of the mac team btw
