well any monitor around the 2000 - 3500 mark or under what brand should i look for what should i look in a monitor really

Prad.de (http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/reviews.html) is a good review site, where you can also sort reviews by screensize.

Dell 3008WFP seems to have performed nicely.

Dont look at the brand, look at the panel technology.

TN: bad
VA: okay
IPS: best

that is a bit biased towards color reproduction. TN have the fastest refresh rates, VA has lower black points than IPS, IPS has highest color stability and reproduction.
There are sub technologies as well.

Just a hint. Research your technologies, then find a monitor that has the panel you want.
