View Full Version : missing animation, fbx

I'm animating a simple character in Motion Builder (7.5 and 2009) and when I merge the fbx data back to my character (rigged and weighted) in LW 8.5, I'm only getting about 3/4 of the animation back with the file.

Example: I animate for 100 frames (in mobu) but only about 80 of those frames come back into LW. It just stops playing when it hits frame 80. No more keys, no nothing.

Yes, I've made my time line long enough in LW to encompass all the frames but the animation just cuts short.

Anyone else run into this or have an idea what's wrong?

Okay, it looks like there is a solution.
It would seem that the default FBX save feature in Motion Builder is set to FBX ASCII.
If you switch that to FBX Binary... then it seem to work.
