May be it's me but I never seen or been overjoyed with any Mac Video card.
Is it's Apple's drivers or the video cards. I never really seen V acceleration or FSAA. Every thing looks the same except your wallet :hey:

I speak of both ATI and Nvidia cards Mac's are alway a step behind. :agree:
No SLI, even OpenGL 2.0 support is not complete. Is it just me or am I missing something?

The only card I ever seen a great difference was in the old 3Dfx card

Totally agree. It would really be nice if we could simply use standard Windows cards - even if we had to get the drivers from Apple.

Thanks for the answer. I was feeling like the guy in the movie that was like a ghost. He was in a coma half dead, and someone kept moving and hiding his body. Yeah somebody final heard me and found me!

not sure what cards and what OSX version you are refering to? open GL 2.0 and 2.1 support is complete for both of the cards i'm using, an nvidia 8800GT and ATI radeon X1900. open GL 3.0 is only supported at 52% with the latest leopard updates, though...

Lightwave has always been a poor showcase of openGL performance.... improvement has been coming in 9.x .. but it is still not where Maya, modo.. are. Tumble the same heavy model in other apps and your'll see.
