Wow I really like that. Reminds me of Riven or Myst?? Maybe just a few more odd details to break up the image. Are the trees all clones?

No plugins for trees
I can show how with a little animated gif if you want.
The trunk is not a problem, a simple tube with enough subdivision , bend and twist tool.
For the leaf... I'll prepare an animated gif !!

For the leaf I'm using this "technique".
Very simple !!! Use more subdivisions to have more detail.

hehe, Is that your dream home?
Very nice!I like the surface you used on the tree's stem!
Dont like the surface on the ground plant just to the right of
the house.

nice work.

It looks great. Good sense of depth.
And thanks for the small tut, I could always use that.

Darn that spikey plugin can be used for something cool actually...i'd never have thought that :D

looks great...only thing that bugs be is the trunks of the trees, they look too smooth. Maybe a tiny jitter or something?

This is great. I agree, nice depth. I like the light quality. And an awesome tip. So simple, and yet it does not look it in the render. Nice work. Post more like this.

Wow again!
Newtek should put stuff like this on the front page of the forums, like the front page of CGTalk, so people can find really great pieces quickly.
Saw it today, but I'm commenting on it tonight, great stuff!

Jimzip :D
