I'm using VT2 and i'm ready to render my finished project. It will end up on a DVD with other video clips and a main menu. what format should I render it as? I will be using Sony DVD Architect to create the DVD.

also, I will be upgrading to VT4 when I'm done this project, so will I render as the same format with VT4?

Neither VT[2] nor VT[4] can render to the MPEG-2 used on DVDs.

You should just render out to Type-2 DV AVI from VT[2] or VT[4] and then let DVD Architect encode the files to MPEG-2 for you when you do your authoring.
