View Full Version : Lightwave Benchmarking

Hello all,
I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that I have added lightwave scene files to my benchmark database project. If you go to http://www.3dspeedmachine.com/?page=3 you will find scene files for versions 9.3 and 9.5. You will need to setup a workstation profile if you want to add to the database. I think you will find the database useful once there are a significant amount of users.
Let me know if you find any problems with the scenes.

Just FYI - the title of your site in the browser reads as 3speedmachine ..

Like one of these (http://www.flickr.com/groups/3speedbikes/).

Otherwise, great initiative!

ps: Have you thought of adding OS X ? Pretty popular around here.

You mispelled "Precision" for Dell Precision.

And yup, you should add OS X

Otherwise, a fine job!

thanks for pointing out the 3speed title ill fix it :)

as far as the mac os. you should be able to add os x tiger and leopard? are you not seeing it? im looking at the versions chart here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X and saw that tiger goes back to 05-06. i was assuming that any mac before that with an older os would have older hardware and may not be the most useful data. also i'm assuming that i only need to track intel based macs...again the idea being that tracking data for older macs may not be useful. i'll admit, macs arent my strong point so please let me know you think i should adjust the database for mac users.

thanks for looking,

I haven't build a dual processor 64 bit pc yet, but this forum says that Win 7 support dual processor (Home Premium and above).

We run on dual quads with 8 threads at 100% on test renders !
but why server ? W764bit goes fine.
