Hi Guys (and Gals),

I'm trying to introduce a little noise into specular highlights and I'm not having any success using a procedural texture in the specularity channel in the surface editor window. Can someone direct me to maybe a tutorial that deals with this? Thanks.

You can use the car paint shader that's in the 9.5.1 beta to get that effect.

Can't get my key to activate the beta. Spoke with techs on 2 occasions and still not working yet. Any way to do this in 9.3?

Try downloading my car paint shader, built using 9.3.1 http://www.presetcentral.com/preset/79/ That uses specular noise like you need :)
