View Full Version : Making a set too hot

I get so wrapped up it the creation of a set that I lose focus on the technical aspects of it Mainly IRE levels.
What looks good on my video monitor (LG LCD HD monitor) does not make it video legal .

So my advise is to create your set and then with only a solid green image as the input to the set (this way only the set itself will be shown), open a scope and make sure your levels are legal.

You can use the LW plug-in Video Legalize but it tends to change the colors too much for me.
Better to treat the set in real world terms and reduce the hot spots by correcting the lighting and surfaces of the geometry.

Take care,
