I thought I'd play with Pencil (http://www.les-stooges.org/pascal/pencil/), the free animation app.

Here's what I came up with: a very off-model Homer... umm... I guess gluttonizing himself to death.

Obviously, I'm not a cel animator but it was kind of fun. It reminds me of a flip book animation that a pro cel animator would've done when they were still young.

I like that deconstruction of Homer. I have attached a pen and ink drawing my brother did which is kind of a dark and trippy "Where's Waldo" with Homer instead of Waldo.

It reminds me of the work of Bill Plympton, which is good and I like very much :)

@Mad - That's a cool pic. It reminds me of some of the stuff I did.

@daforum - Thanks. Being compared to the prolific Mr. Plympton is a nice thing to hear. hah hah, I guess it is reminiscent of his canibal madness short. I don't normally cel animation and I was surprised at how well my little homer anim turned out.

madhollywood,
Great work, it reminds me in some ways of Crumb, :)
