Is there a way to add more polygons to an object's weight map without having to totally recreate the weight map? Specifically, I want to add a shirt object to a character already setup with weight maps; the shirt would become part of an existing weight map.

Thank you for considering my question.

Use the set map value command in modeler.

In Modeler, click the W in the bottom right of the screen, and then select the map you want to add to from the drop-down menu. Then select all of the shirt polys that you want to add to the weight map. Then go to Map>General>Set Map Value and set them to 100%.

Actually the set map value tool has an option to select your Vmap fro a list right in the interface :)
