hi.

is there a way to bake just illumination using surface baking camera?

i guess i could do this by manually removing all textures, but result would be colorless since surfaces wouldn't receive illumination information from textures.

tnx.

Render with SBCamera and use any of the node setups shared here (http://www.spinquad.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19309&p=212442) for DPont's IFNE.

Good thing about using IFNE (besides simplifying something that could be a complex setup) is that we can get the color bleding from indirect illumination provided not only by distant scene but also by adjacent surfaces and textures.

this worked really nice, but now i have another question.

is it possible to expand baked uv island border by n pixels (n is number >0 :-)?

tnx again.

SBC has a UV boder parameter precisely for that.

ive found the border value to give odd results at the baked maps uv island edges if turned on.

i was using adaptive 0.02 aa and mitchel

anyone else had this?

Me too! It makes white edges for me.
