Is it possible? I mostly start working in Modeler, so I would like to make a script that sends the model to Layout and bake some ambient occlusion for it.

The problem with this is, that you want the script to continue in Layout.

Maybe you have to construct a scene in text mode, hack the user config to include a startup script, and then launch Layout. Then it should automatically run the script as soon as its launched, and you can render you AO bake pass.
Don't forget to reset the Layout config....

Thanks, but is there a way of giving the command "Send to layout" at all? If not I'll just build a LWS file as you also mention, and keep it semi-automatic. Press F10 to get cracking, a couple of clicks extra, but atleast not alot of manual setting up which I am trying to avoid as much as possible.

Actually, I think you would want to build the LWS file anyway, just so it is all set up and ready to go. And once you have that LWS file, you could also just spawn LWSN.exe and render that scene it in the background.... Then you would be fully automatic.
