View Full Version : Joint Bones: a problem with children bones

Take a look at this quick scene and tell me:

How to target BONE A to NULL using joints?

It's a trick about joints that still gets me. Joints aren't similar to bones in that they are "nodes" not "bars". You'd have to add another node, unless someone has a brighter idea.

If you try this the way you'd do it with z-bones (TARGET Bone A) nothing will happen. If you set the target on the parent bone, you will not get the results you want.

You could do it by adding an extra joint with a length of zero at the base of Bone A, so you isolate it from the chain (sort of). Still getting my head around joints though, so that may be a crap way...
