BTW, just to let you know. When I left LA, I took HWY 5 and then HWY 14 to Mojave, then China Lake, and on to Lone Pine, and got in line for a permit to go up on Mt Whitney. For those who like this sort of thing, here's the link to my pix:
http://www.cosmic-pearl.com/Whitney.htm

Maybe something to do after the next time Siggraph is in LA and you wonder what to do with yourself for the following weekend?

Thanks for for linking your photos. The Mt. Whitney hike looks like a great way to detox from the city!:)

Karl, thanks so much for sharing your pics! It was really great going through them all!! :)

evenflcw: My thoughts too, but more painterly done than the actual movie, I think. However, just saying Beowulf art should be sufficient. I'll do that.

Mitja: LA can be a cruel mistress. I've driven through there in summer and it was so bad that you could not see the top of the highrises because of the smog. LA can get an inversion layer that keeps the stuff close to the ground and from escaping and cooling. Very, very bad.

He works in content development which should be exciting news for everyone...he is also developing tools for LW and I'm sure is an invaluable resource for the dev team....he is an amazing artist with years of production experience which should help shape LW into an even more amazing tool.

Ahh..nice to see jarrod at newtek, maybe he could send a mail to the cantarcan guy about Dynamite, perhaps cantarcan will react to that kind of
dignity and do something about Dynamite, since itīs useless to try out as a demo with current crashing bug and the fluid stuff could improve, jarrod used his plugin for 24 so why not:) that would be a tool to develop.

Nice photos, and thanks for them.

But next time ask Deuce to smile, he really scared me on that one. A kind of Hellboy attitude on him! :) LOL

The pic shows a girl sitting there with the 'Harry' statue in front of her during the presentation. I figured that she might be the Lil'Sister emailer who wrote in to ZbrushCentral about having her 'Harry' mesh printed by pixologic (my link in the earlier post). Now, if David Giraud signs on as Lil'Sister, that would be a whole different story, IMO, one I am definitely not in the know of. :D

dballesg:
I thought that expression went perfectly well with the bike. I even wanted him to show his tatoos. :)

Now you said that, is true, goes well with the bike. But for some strange reason first time I saw photo my eyes went right to his expression and make me jump from the chair! :)

I remember meeting Jarrod when he was just a kid. He modeled and rendered this amazing Helicopter and was showing it in HD. It might have been SIGgraph - LA maybe. Glad to hear he's working there.

I see Jarod worked for NT some years ago in tech support and has had a great ride in the CG industry as an artist/supervisor, is he a coder too?
