I am looking for some free low res models of people.
They can be generic and not very detailed. I just want to give a sense of of scale to the ladscape.

Anyone got some pointers as to where to start looking.

probably better off just using images mapped onto a single poly.

This is open source, just download and use it to generate all the human figures you need!

If you can spare a little money, it would be worth buying an axyz pack. Good low poly people models are hard to find, never mind frees ones.

How about--

They're even in native LWO format.

Yup! :)

You can also try DAZ products like DAZ Studio (Free).
They offer some content (like Victoria - dressed), but I guess that, maybe alpha mapped billboards figures are what you are looking for.

I don't know where to download that kind of stuff but if you have a digital camera (photograph camera) you can always go to some public place and find a clean white building wall and mount your camera 10mts away from that wall.
Then just take some nice photos of people passing by (friends or anyone else) and then map those photos to alpha panels and you are ready to go, like Andrew suggested before.

Thanks for all the links. Between them and as Ben and Andrew have said using images mapped onto a single poly, I think I'm sorted.
