I have a Tricaster Studio and am working on my workflow with Videos we are creating. I would like to take video/audio out of the Tricaster send it directly to a hard drive based recorder that will record primarily to .mov format

I use Focus Enhancement Firewire based Hard Drive recorders now when we are out with a single camera shoot those firewire hd recorders and are the bomb.

Being relative new to studio shooting in a multi camera format I am looking for a solution that will allow me quick turn around time on video recordings without double render times.

The .mov render that the tricaster does is crap and I dont want to have to wait to render the video to .mov when there are already solutions out their that will get me to .mov directly from the video/audio out.

Im a small shop so while i know what Hard drive based recorder cost I am looking for a reasonable solution. Suggestions that wont break the bank..
