View Full Version : Need help with motion path and heading

So I have seen the serpent video by William Vaughn and that would do the trick except the motion path I have is moving across all 3 planes. Serpent seems to only allow the deformations on one plane. I tried duplicating what he did using a circular motion path that lays flat on the Z axis. It worked perfect providing the path was flat against one plane.

I have a motion path shaped like an egg that is rotated 45 degrees on each plane. The object that will be following the motion path is shaped like a tear, so it has a bit of a tail.

I need it to follow the motion path and maintain the motion path heading.

It seems like such a simple task, of course it probably is and im just missing something easy.

I thought a null leading the tear object would do the trick, but I couldn't get the desired result the way either.

Using bones and an endo morph would probably work too, much like the roller coaster vid, but it seems like a bit of work for something that should be easy.

Ahh, nevermind...I figured it out using bones and endomorphs.
